“Delicious!”
Reviewed 12 August 2014

We tried a home made crab cake, scallops in bacon, plaice, haddock, chips and peas: Local potatoes, all fried in rapeseed oil, line caught fish..... All perfectly cooked. Excellent value and really lovely, friendly service!

“Yet again excellent quality Fish and Chips”
Reviewed 11 August 2014

This is probably our 10th or 11th trip to this restaurant over the last few years. We definitely noticed a difference this time. The quality of food has always been excellent and service very good. However, the food is now fried in a different oil and it has turned a great meal into a fantastic one. The batter is now lighter and crispier with no compromise on the flavour. I commented to the staff about the change and they said that they were getting comments all the time about how much nicer the food tasted.
Service, as always was efficient and friendly and for once we didn't have to queue for a table. Will definitely visit again.

“Good value kids meals”
Reviewed 10 August 2014

Good value for money especially the kids meals which were £4.75 and the kids received a drink, main meal (good portion) and ice cream.
One thing though the waitress asked if myself and my husband would like mushy peas to which we replied 'yes please' but she never stated it was at an added cost. However, the waitress was very friendly and the fish and chips were lovely and the portions good.

We had a meal to celebrate the life of my Gran who loved this restaurant. We all had a lovely time, the meal was great with excellent food and great service from the waitress Sally.
Fully recommend this restaurant.
