“Warm winter haven”

Our stay at the Old Granary over New Year coincided with a week of particularly wild weather. Fortunately the house is wonderfully warm and comfortable and we loved coming back from our wet and windy walks to sit in front of the fire with a glass of wine. The house is very well equipped with generous spaces and perfectly located for exploring the Pembrokeshire Coast. Kate is a charming and helpful host.

“Idyllic spot”

The granary is beautifully renovated and just as advertised. Kate and family are lovely. A highly recommended spot to retreat from the world for a few days.

“Fabulous holiday”
Reviewed 17 May 2017 for a stay in April 2017

We absolutely loved our holiday in Druidston. The Old Granary has been beautifully renovated and is equipped with everything you could need for a stress-free holiday. We loved the fact that we could bring our dog, and and it's a very short walk to get down to the local beach, perfect for tiring out children and dogs alike. We had a dinner at The Swan Inn in Little Haven, which was also dog-friendly, and the meals were delicious. We can highly recommend having a pony ride on the beach - Nolton Stables is very nearby, and whilst it isn't cheap, it is an unforgettable experience to learn to trot along the sand, and to ride whilst the waves are lapping at your horse's hooves. After our magical horseride, it was certainly lovely to get back to The Old Granary and freshen up with nice warm showers!
We thoroughly enjoyed our long walk along the coastal path. We parked at Newgale Beach and originally thought that we'd walk all the way to St David's, but it's a very steep and hilly path, and after 2 hours we had walked 5.5 miles to Solva, where we were happily distracted by a pub, picnic bench and some sunshine, and we ended up getting the bus back to our car (there are 3 buses a day, so do check the timetables) and then driving to St David's, as we weren't sure we'd have walked there in time to get the last bus back again. St David's is well worth a visit, even if just to see the cathedral.
The Old Granary was the perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle of town life, and to switch off from phones and gadgets, and spend time together as a family, playing cards and board games and chatting together. The owners are helpful and friendly but not intrusive. The patio overlooks the sea and you see some beautiful sunsets. A really perfect place to relax and unwind, but with plenty of things to do and places to visit without having to travel too far to get anywhere. We cannot recommend The Old Granary highly enough! Thank you to Kate and Luke for a really lovely holiday.

“Perfect place for us”
Reviewed 21 September 2016 for a stay in September 2016

The property has wonderful views over to St David's, is only 10 minutes from Haverfordwest, and accommodation well laid out for our group of grandparents in large double next to entrance and bathroom, large open kitchen/diner/lounge with patio doors to large decked area, followed by twin and double bedrooms adjoining shower room for parents and 15-month old. A doorway to that area, similar to that from hall, would be only possible improvement. Access to coastal path was down bridle way which was a bit muddy at start of week, but otherwise quick and easy access to quirky hotel and sandy beach. We walked down to Broadhaven most days, for all the usual facilities (one driver took car to carry pushchair, rugs, etc, and let Grandpa drive back at end of day, but many could carry everything with them). Can also recommend Bay cafe in Broadhaven for good quality sit-in and take-away food - particularly enjoyed prawn baguette, and Homity Pie with salad.
