“Absolutely Fantastic”
Reviewed 11 June 2014

I do think it is unfair for some reviewers to complain about the limited menu and dated decor. Customers must bear in mind that it is a traditional family run pub doing food which has been on site for well over 100 years!!! It is not a posh restaurant or a chain such as Weatherspoons, Harvester or Toby Carvery. As a local pub it does carry a lot of character and charm. The environment is lovely!

The menu selection is excellent, and the chef will cater for special dietary needs, for example seliak's, allergies and vegetarians. I have visited the Vine on multiple occasions for anything from romantic dates, birthdays, anniversaries and sunday lunch. It is suitable for everyone. We have brought the elderly, young children and the severely disabled and have always found the staff helpful and courteous. I will also point out that on rugby international days Alun (the landlord) always hands out free plates of chips to those in the pub.

On top of this, as a standalone pub it is fantastic and despite several others being closer, I do visit very often. It has a fine selection of Ales and Whiskeys.

There is not much more I can say really that come and visit for yourself!

“A warm Welsh welcome.”
Reviewed 22 May 2014 via mobile

Picked this pub based on previous reviews and was not disappointed. On arrival the landlord, Alun, greeted us with a smile and ensured we had drinks. Even though the pub was pleasantly busy with regulars, nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious, unpretentious & good value. Just our cup of tea. Would definitely visit again if in the area.

“Time for the Oldies .”
Reviewed 12 March 2014

When I went to book Sunday lunch for my sister in law ( 82 Yrs Old ) , who has great difficulty walking and has to use a walker . I founder the Landlord and staff extremely kind and helpful . I was able to use the fire door for easier access, so she had not to walk too far to the table. The food when ordered was very prompt and excellent value for money. The atmosphere was friendly and good humoured . Will go again .

“Family Celebrations”
Reviewed 13 October 2013

We were staying for 3 nights in Haverfordwest, at Jeannie and Martin Low's Haroldston Farmhouse. On their recommendation we went to the" Vine Inn" to celebrate
five birthdays, 70th birthday, 22nd, 21st,13th and 11th birthday. So glad we did. Lovely warm welcome from landlord and staff. We all enjoyed our meals which were served promptly and piping hot. There were 11 of us in the party including my 91 year old mum who has to use a walking frame. We were able to come straight from the carpark to the back entrance of the room we had food in, so mum was able, with our help, to get up the small decking step into the room. We will definitely be back. Thank You
