This was my 5th time at glenloy. Jon and Angela offer wildlife trips and weeks. The lodge has luxurious, en-suite rooms. The sun lounge offers spectacular views of aonoch mor. The day starts with a lovely, continental and cooked, breakfast. After breakfast you drive somewhere for the day looking for wildlife, wildflowers, butterflies etc. This depends on the itinary for the week. Lunch is enjoyed in the field, rolls, fruit, tea/coffee, something baked ( always delicious) The day ends around 18.00 hour. But no rest for the wicked because the pine martens are being fed around 19.00. Dinner is served at 19.30, always something we really look forward to! 3 courses, mostly home made soup, with home baked bread, a main meal and a desert to die for. Coffee and tea are being served in the sun lounge. For me this is the perfect way to unwind, find exciting animals, meet lovely people and enjoy all the special things scotland has on offer. Jon and Angela always work very hard to make your week really special. Already looking forward to my next visit!

We spent two nights at the Lodge and really enjoyed the short stay. We wished we had booked longer.
The Lodge is hidden by superb trees and shrubs, but from inside you have great views over the top to the mountains beyond. The bedroom is basic but has all you need. A comfortable bed, en-suite facilities but the sink is in the room. Tea and coffee making facilities with shortbread to accompany it.
You tick your breakfast choice each evening on a given list; biggest problem is what not to have!
The host and his wife can not help enough. If you wish to return during the day for a rest or for something forgotten you can. They will suggest good eating out, but if you wish to make your own or bring in a takeaway they happily provide plates, glasses and cutlery, which they wash up.
They are also a fountain of local knowledge, so can help you with information when requested.
One highlight is the regular pine marten visits. These are wild animals and will flee if you open the door. However they are totally relaxed whilst you are behind glass. John feeds them some small items of marten friendly food every evening; a very special experience.
This is a B&B to recommend, and certainly return too.

So glad you enjoyed our martens and everything else. We'll keep up to date on FB and Twitter when the female brings out her kits, hopefully soon.
Hope to see you again some time.

We chose Glenloy Lodge as a base to spend a couple of days relaxing and wildlife watching as it offered the chance to see pine martens. On both our nights we had brilliant views of the martens very close to the house. If you want to see martens this is definitely the place to come! The breakfasts and packed lunch were great, the accommodation was comfortable and the setting was very nice too.

We opted for a day trip out with Jon to show us the local sites and wildlife. He certainly knows all the local hot spots and his knowledge of the wildlife is excellent.

If you want just a quiet place to stay, or you're a wildlife enthusiast then Glenloy Lodge is a must. I for one will definitely return.
