“Unexpected find and worth visiting...”
Reviewed 6 August 2014

These are not very extensive remains but the useful information boards give a really good impression as to the sheer scale of the place in the Roman period when is was occupied from around AD 200 until the end of the C4th. Useful for all those who, like us from the Roman city of Leicester, have an interest in the impact of the Roman civilisation on Britain. We happened to be the in the area and seeing the sign we just called in. I expect many others will do so too and be equally surprised at the closeness of the surrounding houses although I’ve cropped my photos to remove them. A half hour will do it but it is free and there is a useful layby so you are able to park safely off the road.

“Roamin' around Roman remains”
Reviewed 17 April 2014

We visited this place a couple of years ago with the grand children and we plan to re visit again with out them
This little corner of Caister is where history from a couple of millennia ago is right there to see the signage tells you the story but leaves you fired up to look up more information for yourself

there is wheelchair access so everyone can see and there are viewing pints that raise you above the groundworks so you can see clearly

“Worth Popping In”
Reviewed 11 April 2014

Along the main road from Great Yarmouth to Caister-On-Sea, so if you're going there it's worth popping in. It is the sight of a roman fort, a few bricks on the floor really but interesting to use your imagination. Open all the time, just in a park.
