lovely beach and dog friendly lovely to walk the dog and meet other so minded people very clean and safe
Lovely long, clean sandy beach. Very quiet when we were there, was blowing a gale, but I'd imagine it would be packed on a sunny day.
I have lived in Caister since 1988, about 100 yards from the beach. It's generally very clean, with a few holiday camps and caravan parks sited nearby. Some find the 30 offshore wind turbines unsightly, others find them an interesting feature. There's very little in the way of facilities. There is a nearby pub. That's about it.
The beach is ok to walk on but you couldn't really sit on it. The water doesn't look appealing and wouldn't recommend swimming in it but there were a few people skimming stones. It is sandy in places but also has pebbles and grass.
While staying at the above we visited the beach at least twice a day to exercise our dog ( it is dog friendly all year round ) very large beach, partly sandy and reaches as far as the eye can see. Was very quiet between the 20th and 27th May.
This beach is amazing - Runs for as far as the eye can see. Beautiful golden sands and very clean - Fun for all the family
