Hotel ok room small but clean. Didn't eat as the menu was not prepared at 5.45 even though we were going to eat at 6. Not sure why? As it was a Sunday evening it would be difficult to see why they did not know what they were cooking. so we ate at a lovely local pub. Pretty gardens in a picturesque village

My boyfriend and I booked a one night stay at The Manor as a little treat and to get away from London for a couple of days. It certainly was a treat, we both enjoyed our stay and would very much like to stay again. We had the 5 course tasting menu and breakfast included in our price, the food was exceptional, as was the service. We stayed in room 14 which was at the top of the house, it was fairly small but charming, newly decorated and had everything we needed, the view from our window was lovely. The Manor is in a beautiful, peaceful setting, all we could hear when walking in the grounds were birds singing. I absolutely cannot fault out stay here.

I wish I could have stayed but I only visited for dinner. The setting is simply magnificent, the ancient building complemented by antique furniture, tasteful and unobtrusive decor, and attentive, pleasant staff. Service was impeccable and the food both delicious and beautifully presented. I would recommend this as a dinner venue to anyone.

Went there with husband and 2 children for 5 course tasting menu. They reserved a beautiful round table for us along the window, overlooking the garden as per request in the reservation. The same table we had when we have our afternoon tea there before. The 5 courses was excellent, presented well, which tickles your palate upon looking at it. Light criticism with the 4th course which is a limited 3 different kinds of cantaloupe arrange in a plate together with a drop of berry jus. The mains was excellent can be a little warmer though. Overall was an excellent experience, the waiting staff ensure that they always filled up your glasses. Everything is monitored and the service is facilitated through in the highest possible standard. The place is suitable for a romantic dine out, we went here several times and we are always served very well beyond our expectation. We will definitely coming back and would like to try the room although we are only 15 minutes away, it is the perfect place to relax and dined. It would be great to have a spa in here although it is not currently available in this place, but I think this could be a future oasis...

My wife and I dined at the manor on a groupon deal for the five course tasting menu. The manor is a beautiful and interesting building, full of character, set in several acres of peaceful impressive gardens. We arrived early and enjoyed a drink in the welcoming lounge until we were taken through to the Barons hall for dinner, this is a dining room fit for a king with wood panelled walls and a minstrels gallery, it would make an ideal venue for a special occasion. The tasting menu was expertly prepared and was most enjoyable, coffee and petit fours were included into the price. The staff were cheerful and helpful and also very professional, especially the manager who seems to genuinely care that everything is to your satisfaction. We had to drive sixty miles home afterwards, but we considered it well worth the effort. On the strength of our delightful experience we have already booked a three night stay since we arrived home.
