Attended a wedding reception here. And they just got it so wrong. The location and hotel itself is stunning. However, the staff all need a huge shake up. The bar staff didn't have a clue what they were doing. Some couldn't even take your cash payment and had to find the manager to do it. One barman took my order then disappeared for 10 minutes. They got the orders wrong, but we're still happy to charge you £5 for a CAN of Guinness, £6 for a glass of wine, and £8 for a vodka coke. The same round changed in price depending on who served you. You had to wait a lifetime to be served.

As for the catering staff. The BBQ had no tongs to the serve the food, no napkins, and you had to wait ages also for the food.

Such a shame, I just hope the bride and groom didn't notice and had a lovely day.

My wife and I got married here ten years ago, and had a superb experience. So for our tenth anniversary I booked us a return visit, staying in the same room we had on our wedding night.

It was great to be back, and it is still as lovely as ever, but we felt a little let down by the customer care. The waiters appeared to be students on a summer job, with little or no training. One memorable exchange went as follows.
Does the main course come with potatoes?
Yes.
What sort of potatoes?
Normal potatoes.
What do you mean normal potatoes?
I don't know, I can ask chef.

We made several references to celebrating our anniversary when we booked and checked in, and we noticed it was written as a note in our reservation in the dining room. But at no point in our stay did anyone actually mention it to us. We weren't expecting a free drink or anything, we just wanted to be made to feel special. And given how many thousands of pounds we'd spent there a decade ago, it wasn't much to ask. Hotels need to realise that just because they have a lovely location, it's how you treat your guests which will linger in the memory.

Decent afternoon tea in a lovely place, not packed with customers and good value for money. Service uneven : second tea pot not always suggested, tables and chairs not always cleaned in the garden, speed variable...

We visited Weston Manor for a long weekend in July to give my mum a relaxing break. I was a little apprehensive, having had a bit of an issue making my booking, but I needn't have been! We had a fantastic weekend and for a really reasonable price.

We spent a lazy afternoon enjoying the outdoor pool and a day at the Bicester outlet which was just 15 minutes up the road. The evening meal and afternoon tea, which were included in our package, were amazing! Brilliant service and really top quality food. Based on the afternoon tea alone I think we'll be visiting again!

We were staying in the coach house and despite being a little hot on that particular weekend, the room was very comfortable and thankfully with fan(!)

The staff were ever so helpful, friendly and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable.

Our only complaint of the whole weekend was that the pool was a tad cold and we weren't convinced it was heated as advertised.

Nonetheless, a fantastic hotel, with beautiful grounds, which we will definitely be visiting again!

Stayed at the Manor in June 2014 for a few days away with my wife and two Jack Russells. Grand building, ideal location (Oxford and Bicester), and superb hospitality (even an outdoor pool). Such a pleasant surprise - Couldn't recommend this place highly enough - SUPERB. Already planning a return trip next June.

We went here for afternoon tea for my daughters 40th birthday. It is a truly beautiful place with so much history and the gardens were lovely, on a very hot day. The tea was very average and expensive. We had four small sandwiches each, cheese and pickle, ham and mustard, salmon and cream cheese and egg mayonnaise. Two scones each and three cakes each, and a choice of tea. It wasn't that we really needed more food after this, if was that for £23 each I would have thought we could have had a bit more choice especially in the sandwich and cake department. The bill for 6 of us was £145 after they had put on their service charge. The service was OK'ish, but nothing exceptional.
