“Great to be able to get so close to the animals”
Reviewed 12 August 2014 via mobile

My husband and six year old daughter spent the morning here. We all had a great day. The staff were extremely friendly and informative. It was great that they take out some of the animals to touch.

“Worth a visit”
Reviewed 10 August 2014

This reptile village is well worth a visit. Great for all ages! We had four children between ages of 8-15 and they all enjoyed it. It's interesting and a treat to see such a variety. They have talks every hour including two reptiles. If you wish there is an opportunity to touch or pet ! They have a okay area and cafe! However a picnic area is available. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and really willing to interact. A great visit had by all!

“Fab place to visit”
Reviewed 7 July 2014

We stopped here on our way to Carlow - we found the place easy thanks to great directions on their webpage
When we entered and paid the lovely girl told us that they take out different animals every 1/2 hour so we wandered round and had a look at every animal/reptile in the place- my hubby and son whi's 5 are nature freaks and they were in heaven - there is every kind of animal in the place and more - our 5 year gave us a running commentary the whole way through
when we saw all the animals there we took a wee break and our son played in the soft area for a few minutes and i enjoyed a spelt cookie
then we heard the girl talking and when to the front and there she was holding a tarantula - my 2 big macho men cleared and i made my way to the front of the queue to get 1 thing off my bucket list and hold the tarantula and i did i was well impressed
she had a snake out too but we missed that
it was a great place to visit - we were there for about 1 hour - our son led us through at high speed

“Rip Off”
Reviewed 1 July 2014

It cost €30 for 2 adults and 2 kids upon entering we were giving a talk about a snake then brought to feed a crocodile and after that we we left to look around by ourselves in about 15 different containers and thats were it ended. Waste of money and kids just wanted to leave as soon as they entered

Hi,

Thanks for taking the time to visit us and write a review.

I'm disappointed to hear that you didn't enjoy you're experience here. As regards admission price, we are very competitive compared to similar activities and family time experiences. In total we have over 50 exhibits here and i'm wondering did you have a look around the entire facility?

Sometimes, despite our best efforts, there will be people who just don't enjoy seeing crocodiles being fed or having the opportunity to safely handle snakes and lizards etc. These are amazing animals, and we would love to have the opportunity again to try and gain you're affinity for them!

Let me know if we entice you back in for another go!

Regards,

James Hennessy

“Small but Interesting”
Reviewed 21 June 2014

Reasonable entrance price 35 euros for 2 adults/4 kids. Small place but very interesting. Loads of types of reptiles and the kids enjoyed every minute.
