This was our second stay and this time we stayed in the Long Barn. It was self-catering so we missed the breakfasts but it did mean that we could have lovely long lie-ins before enjoying the (very) fresh eggs Paula gave us.
We were lucky enough to have really good weather our first 2 days so we got to see more of the scenery this time. It really is a beautiful part of the world. The barn has huge patio windows so even when the weather was not quite so good, we could still admire the view. The sheepdogs were lovely and friendly and always ready to play, though they never tried to come in the rooms, even when it was raining - they're obviously very well trained!
After our last stay Paula had kindly given us the number of the local quarry where she got her slate place mats and coasters from and even though it was very short notice, they managed to get a set of each delivered to Paula for us before we left, which was much appreciated!
We were in need of some serious rest and relaxation and that's exactly what we got, even though we were only there for a few days. We wouldn't think of staying anywhere else in North Wales and I'm sure we'll be back.
