“Another great stay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 September 2012

This was our second stay and this time we stayed in the Long Barn. It was self-catering so we missed the breakfasts but it did mean that we could have lovely long lie-ins before enjoying the (very) fresh eggs Paula gave us.

We were lucky enough to have really good weather our first 2 days so we got to see more of the scenery this time. It really is a beautiful part of the world. The barn has huge patio windows so even when the weather was not quite so good, we could still admire the view. The sheepdogs were lovely and friendly and always ready to play, though they never tried to come in the rooms, even when it was raining - they're obviously very well trained!

After our last stay Paula had kindly given us the number of the local quarry where she got her slate place mats and coasters from and even though it was very short notice, they managed to get a set of each delivered to Paula for us before we left, which was much appreciated!

We were in need of some serious rest and relaxation and that's exactly what we got, even though we were only there for a few days. We wouldn't think of staying anywhere else in North Wales and I'm sure we'll be back.

This was our first visit to the farm and it was great. Paula is very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The breakfasts are very nice, with plenty of choice. The rooms are very clean and tidy on arrival and are cleaned daily. Our 8 year old daughter loved helping to feed the animals and collect the eggs (for the next day's breakfast) as well as playing with the very friendly sheep dogs. The farm was a quiet and safe for children to run around. The location is nice and central for exploring all of the attractions in the area. Well worth a visit, my daughter already wants to go again.

We have just returned from Tyddyn du farm. This has been our second visit and we intend to return. The accommodation is first class and the scenery surrounding the farm is breathtaking, as are the breakfasts in the morning. Our children really enjoyed playing and feeding the animals in a safe enviroment. Paula and the team are excellent hosts and nothing is too much trouble. This farm ticks all the right boxes.

Wonderfull place in wild Snowdonia with an excellent Service and people with unbelievable hospitality, generosity and warmth! No change to our last stay 8 years ago, this time with our children who loved being the whole day with the animals. Delicious individualized breakfast as you like. There are no problems for Paula and Mered, only challenges.

Room Tip: Only be honest and tell Paula exactly what you want, she will give you the suitable Suite.

Our family stayed at Tyddyn-du for 5 nights and we all wished we had stayed for two weeks. My daughter was so sad to leave as she had really bonded with the animals on the farm.

Waking up to such wonderful scenery just sets you up for a wonderful day. The Quarry Walk was breathtaking, as was the hike through a nearby rain forest. The pub down the road served great evening meals and fabulous Welsh beer.

Paula was a great host and went out of her way to accommodate our needs. Fabulous breakfasts, comfy beds, fun animals, the nicest dog I've ever met and amazing scenery; what more can you ask for?
