“A perfect escape from the city”
Reviewed 29 September 2013

We came here after a booking had fallen through elsewhere and it was wonderful. The hospitality from Kerry and Keith was second to none and we really could not have asked for anything more. The breakfast was fantastic (don't plan on eating anything else until dinner!) and the scenery is gorgeous. The 'room' (I think they should be called suites!) was luxurious and a wonderful place to relax. It was lovely having chickens and donkeys to say hello to and the pub at the bottom of the drive serves delicious food. All in all it was a perfect summer holiday - thank you!

Spent a night in this haven of peace, from the enthusiastic reception of Riley (the labradoodle) and Kerry to breakfast, which was excellent, at a time to suit us and no rush to vacate, this was a wonderful experience. The room was clean and relaxing and the bed comfortable, nothing seemed to be too much trouble for our hosts. Don't worry that there's no milk in the room, a flask of fresh milk was left outside our door early in the morning. A lovely area to wander around and drink in the scenery and a quiet pub at the end of the drive that serves delicious food all added to the experience. Would have liked to stay longer but alas work got in the way.

Just had a lovely weekend at Usk Valley B&B (March 2012). The accomodation was in a private annexe just across from the main farmhouse - so much nicer than just a room in a house. There a three b & b rooms, each with a private bathroom and dressing area. With patio tables and chairs outside and wine glasses provided we could enjoy the early spring sunshine in peace with a nice bottle of wine! The local area is stunning and we enjoyed a 2 hour walk along the river bank. My husband is a keen fisherman and we will definately return - my husband to fish and myself to shop in Cardiff (an easy drive away) if I can be tempted away from the peace of Usk Valley. We enjoyed a meal at the pub just down the hill - Kerry arranged this in advance for us. All in all, a wonderful stay with very friendly hosts - we will make it a regular trip.

Room Tip: There are 3 rooms in the annexe building - 1 double and 2 singles. All are decorated beautifully (we...

Kerry and Keith really are perfect hosts. We visited in January having discovered this B and B by accident and would highly recommended it. The rooms are warm, quiet and cozy with a good size double bed and a very comfortable duvet. Ideal if you want a peaceful weekend away in the countryside. If you like a cooked breakfast, Kerry makes a great one.

On arrival you realise this is a very special place. It is literally on the golf course and a short drive from Usk town. You feel very welcomed by hosts Kerry & Keith and the rooms are very comfortable and clean with nice spacious barhtoom. There is also an area where to put golf clubs and luggage. The rooms have that special touch and thought has come into the interior. The breakfast is cooked to perfection and you have evrything that you can possibly wish for! We also recommend that you stroll around the corner to visit the local pub and on the way you may also say hello to Paddy and Molly the gourgeous donkeys. We will higly recommend this both as a golfing holiday, but also as a tranquil escape from the city. It is easy to find and close to other activities such as walking and fishing or just relaxing in a beautiful setting. We would definately come again. Thank you!

The warmest possible welcome in a farmhouse setting, with private, stylish, spotlessly clean accommodation. Breakfast cooked to any preferance and to perfection, and stylishly served in picturesque conservatory. Acclaimed country pub just short walk away from rooms. Easy to find just 15 minutes from M4, within easy reach of Raglan Castle, Abergaveny and even Cardiff. Great for walkers, golfers, fishing, chilling out. HIGHLY reccommended!!
