Just returned from a 3 night stay at this fantastic property.
Booking process was excellent and prompt response from the owner Marcus (Thank you).
The barn is perfect for a large group due to its size, nobody was falling over each other.
The furnishings, facilities, décor, cooking/kitchen items, bedding and towels etc were all of a high standard and the property provided everything needed for a comfortable self catering stay. Lovely walks in the countryside and felt no need to venture far.
Would definitely book/stay again if planning a few days away to relax with family and friends.

This trip was lovely for all of us, we had three families made up of 4 children and 6 adults.
The accommodation was great, we had no problems with bathroom queues as each family had their own bathroom plus an extra in case of emergency!!!
We were all able to eat together and dance together (on the Wii).
The owner is also very easy to contact - thank you Marcus, The Granary is not just full of character but also has all the modern day tech that we all rely on.

They say you get what you pay for, in the case of the barn, that was incorrect, as you got far more then you pay for. Location is remote. But you are 20 mins away from the Lakes and just over 30 minutes from the amazing Waterfall. You also about a beautiful hour drive from Barmouth beach. So there enough things to do around the area, to enjoy the location.
There was 10 adults that stayed at the barn, which normally means chaos, but due to the size and layout of the property, there was plenty of room for everyone to have their individual space. The bathrooms were of a very high standard as was the kitchen. The Barn was full of DVDs, books and games. Would definitely book again and Marcus was a delight to deal with, never failing to answers countless questions I had. Couldn't fault anything about the stay.

The perfect retreat for a family getaway. We were a family of 7 adults, 1 teenager and two small children (7 & 4) staying at The Old Granary and we had a wonderful time. The kids had loads of space to go wild without causing any damage and were safely secure in the garden in full view of the house. The bedrooms were spaced out to give everyone a bit of privacy and there was never a queue for one of the three fabulous bathrooms. The kitchen was perfect for all the family to enjoy every meal together and was excellently equipped - we had no inclination to eat out. The surrounding area is beautiful and peaceful, we enjoyed a lovely walk along the road then back along the river (a little long for the little ones but they managed it and had fun on the way). Decided we would definately book again.

nothing to add everything was as seen on tripadvisor
very enjoyable stay with my family.would stay again if ever in north wales.
We stayed here with friends and our young children. We had a fantastic long weekend. The barn is amazing, very high spec with everything you could require and more.
We explored the surrounding areas, had a fantastic day at the beach in Barmouth. For those who enjoy driving the route from Welshpool to Barmouth is stunning. We had a lovely day on the steam railway in Welshpool.
It was great coming back, the kids playing in the garden and just chilling out with a few bottles of wine taking in the beautiful scenery. The barn is big enough so you're not getting in each others way. Beds are really comfy and the bathrooms are gorgeous.
Little tip: Asda deliver to the property, saves you having to bring lots of shopping bags with you.
Big thanks to Marcus who came through when we needed him.
