People should know that it is closed in the off season. It was such a disappointment as friends had spoken so highly of it.

Harmony Hall was recommended by a friend before we went to Antigua, so we booked through the hotel for a late lunch along with the 11am visit to Green Island. We were assured the taxi ride from Verandah would only take 10 minutes, but it was closer to half an hour and we were worried we would miss the boat. Our trip to Green Island was a highlight of our holiday. The beach there is idyllic and there was great snorkelling right off the beach where we were within our depth. On the far beach the wind was quite strong so it was a little choppy at times and the cooling breeze meant that it was very easy to relax about the sun's strength. There is some shade. Returning to Harmony Hall we had a delicious lunch (Wahoo and Lobster) at a table in the garden with a fantastic view over the bay. The staff were lovely and really looked after us. We thought that we might have to dress up a bit for lunch, but the restaurant is relaxed and informal. We didn't leave till 4.30, so this really is a whole day out. Not cheap, but well worth a visit.

Awesome restaurant! Food was great--have the lamb bolognese with pasta! We did the trip to Green Island (US$5 per person if you book lunch as well) with lunch to follow. They have a small boat which takes you out to a deserted island where you can snorkel or just hang out on the beach.

Just returned from a trip to Antigua and by luck we happened to make reservations at Harmony Hall. It's off the beaten track, which only enhanced its unique qualities. Only 6 rooms available, we had one on the seaside. Just steps away from the restaurant and a small beach. Rooms are spacious and very clean. Gardens are numerous and well maintained. Lots of winding steps and paths that are also in great shape. The art gallery is excellent with a variety of island art. Take your time and visit it a couple of times or you'll be sure to miss something. Food was outstanding, Chef Mateo knows his stuff! Service was great, Penny, Jana and Valentina couldn't have been nicer or more attentive to our needs. I can't say enough about the beauty of this place. Harmony Hall is a special place. Beach is small, but Half Moon Beach is very close by (my husband and I walked), and it's probably one of the top 3 beaches on the island. Small sailboat and kayaks on the beach for hotel guests to use at no charge! Don't go to Harmony Hall if you like resorts like Holiday Inn, Sandals, or one of those mob scene all inclusive joints. It's quiet, private, beautiful and kept with an eye for maintaining a real island experience. I'd go back in a minute.
