What a wonderful 2 nights stay at the end of June. Many thanks to Shirley who made us very welcome with tea and cakes on arrival. The room was lovely and the bed super comfortable. It wasn't a disadvantage to have an external bathroom which was stunning original art deco. A perfect base for exploring Hadrian's wall and only a short (uohill!) walk to the lovely village and the pubs. And a perfect suprise at our first breakfast with a cake a candle for my birthday; how absolutly thoughtful and a lovely touch that made my day. I must mention the animals which are lovely and friendly but you don't have to be a cat lover - just shut the door. Would love to go back and take my girls who would love it.
