“Excellent one night stopover”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 July 2013

We stayed here for one night on our way to our cottage in the Dordogne. We usually stay at the Mercure.
We will probably choose this hotel again if the price stays so good.
The staff were very friendly and efficient. The rooms although very small, were very clean and the beds were very comfortable.
We arrived at 9.45pm and were able to eat in the onsite cafe. The food and service were good as was the wine!!
The breakfast the next morning was good value for money with a very reasonable amount of choice and good coffee.

Nearly everything about this Ibis hotel meets expectations but the only downside is parking on the premises can be an issue when it is full. The staff are very friendly, the rooms are quiet, clean and ina good condition. The breakfast represents good value for money and even when you miss the 10.00 deadline you can still get coffee and a croissant.

Probably the most comfortable bed, bedding and pillows that I have ever slept in!

The dinner could have been much hotter but from experience the French cooks do not 'heat' the plates. The breakfast was superb, we were spoilt for choice.

We were on a coach trip so the hotel was chosen for us.

Lovely people, decent continental breakfast, dinner more suited to French, only French TV and BBC world news.
Rooms a bit smallish, 20 minute drive to Tours centre.
Great place to stopover for a night or two as we have done for a few years, this time we stayed for 4 nights and felt it was to long for this hotel.
Miss having tea/coffee facilities in room, will cure this next time by taking travel kettle with us.

Ideal stop off on way from South West of France to Caen for ferry back to England. Quiet location and despite a large party of other guests not disturbed. Staff were helpful and spoke good English. Dinner was good value with plenty of choice for breakfast.

Would have appreciated coffee facilities in room.

We stopped here en route from Caen to Spain. The hotel was easy to find with the sat nav and there was free parking. The staff were efficient, friendly and welcoming and, although I speak French, they all spoke English. There is a good bistro-style restaurant and a bar. The restaurant serves good food at a range of reasonable prices.

The only negative for me was the size of the room. It was tiny as was the en suite shower room. There was very little space around the beds and hardly anywhere to put things down in the shower room.

I also looked at the wheelchair accessible room as my husband is confined to a wheelchair although he didn't accompany me on this journey. The room was the smallest 'accessible' room I have ever seen. The double bed took up most of the bedroom with almost no space around it. It was squashed in between the doorway and the wall, meaning that you could only get into it from the one side and the doorway was literally right next to the pillow. The en suite shower room was also tiny. There was a step-in shower inaccessible to anyone not able to walk. There was just about enough room to get a wheelchair in but no space to manoeuvre.

I could not recommend this hotel for wheelchair users but for anyone else it is a good place to stop for a night.

Room Tip: We had a twin room as I was travelling with my sister. Maybe the double rooms have more space aroun...
