We had an enjoyable but not outstanding fish meal here earlier this week. The standard was somewhat variable from my excellent moules a la creme to my brother's tasty but rather overcooked herrings. The prices were reasonable and the service very good. This is a specialist fish and seafood restaurant situated along the harbour quay. We would probably rate it somewhere between average and very good but have not eaten in any other restaurants in Dieppe withwhich to make comparisons.

Wishing to avoid ferry food we eat late lunches close to the port. The food had good portions and was freshly cooked. Excellent find for our particular purposes.

for our own tastes, the fish soup was awful, small portion of mussels that were overcooked, the smallest piece of cheese my wife had ever seen. stale bread, sauces that had a crust where they had been sitting around for the whole day, a bad experience. not value for money. we were not welcome! sorry to the owners for not being french.

We arrived on a Saturday evening on our way to the Newhaven ferry. There is a lot of choice on the harbour Quay, which is the one furthest from the ferry port, and there is free parking at the top end. The main restaurant on the opposite Quay was very unhelpful and wouldn't serve a couple!
Sully had a wide range of standard menu prices and interesting options. We went for the 23 euro menu which was not the cheapest but offered four courses.
I had fisherman's platter, a big (10 inch!) plateful of shellfish - cockles, winkles, prawns, shrimps etc, followed by a massive tender sirloin steak with loads of fries, a cheese or salad course and a pudding, which was excellent crepes "Normandy" with apple and Calvados. My wife's main was a big plate of duck breast, too much to eat. Each course had a choice of about six dishes. A half litre pichet of red wine was 8 euros.
The restaurant was popular with locals and was full to bursting when we left, not a seat to be had.
We were given a menu in English, and the waiter spoke good English. Service was good and helpful, but a bit slow due to the number of customers. All in all a good meal, good value and an enjoyable end to our trip.

We arrived quite late in Dieppe for lunch and as it was a Monday many places didn't open but the Sully was busy and the menu looked appetising. What swung it for me was the delicious smell when we opened the door and asked for a table. We both chose the 12 euro lunch menu which was 3 courses. I had hot goats cheese salad and my husband the monkfish liver. Both dishes were well presented and tasty. There was an good choice of mains but we chose to have the day's special which was sole, neither of us expected to get a whole one each but we did! The desserts were pretty standard choices but for 12 euros we could not complain. Wine was available by the carafe and wasn't expensive. We were not hurried out and we were the last to leave at around 14.45. The service and the food were really good.
