“Outstanding !!!!”
Reviewed 5 March 2014

Just returned from the best week's skiing ever and that's after over 20 years of going to lots of different resorts and chalets / hotels / apartments.

There were 14 in our group and the chalet hosts - Chris, Ash and Trini absolutely made our holiday. Nothing was too much trouble from the minute we got up to a 5* breakfast, taking us all down to the lifts and then picking us up after apres ski every evening and bringing us back to a delicious gourmet dinner with unlimited wine. If wine isn't your thing then there was an honesty bar with beer and spirits was also available at very un-ski resort prices!! And they made us feel really at home, so much so that they are threatening to come and visit us at our local when the season finishes !!! :-).

The chalet was just perfect with no 'bad' rooms, meaning that even if you arrive last, you won't have any reason to be scared of getting the worst room (if your friends are like that!) because there simply isn't one.

All in all, the chalet was gorgeous, the food was outstanding, the hosts were wonderful, the location was great and to cap it all the snow was amazing. And that's before I even start on Morzine but there simply are too many good things to say and that's another story.....

Hope to see you in Mickleton Chris and Ash so we can return some of your hospitality xxx

Having spent the last week being spoilt rotten by the team at Chalet Guytaune, I wanted to say a massive thank you and reassure anyone considering a holiday at Chalet Guytaune that it is an absolute must! A beautiful chalet with immaculately presented bedrooms, a great living area to chill in the evenings with fantastic wine and a scrumptious cheeseboard in front of a cosy open fire….what more could you ask for? Well, try a stunning 4 –course meal every night with wine matched to the menu. Ash should be the chef in a Michelin Star restaurant rather than cooking for a ski chalet – though clearly that has been entirely to our advantage this week! The food really was beautiful. Cris, Ash and Trinnie were all incredibly hospitable as hosts; nothing was too much trouble and the flexibility of lifts to and from the ski lifts combined with lots of tips and local knowledge for the best runs on any given day, made this a holiday to remember. By far the best Chalet ski holiday I have been on – can’t wait to go back!

We spent the last week in a whole new experience. As newbies to a skiing holiday we didn't know what to expect. We came away from that week with nothing but huge smiles and full bellies. Yes the skiing was brilliant BUT let me tell you the Chalet experience was out of this world!! Cris, Ash and Trini are a fantastic team that will do everything they can to make your holiday a wonderful time. Very relax and chilled atmosphere but also very efficient and clockwork. Very clean place, lovely rooms…. and the food!! The food was 5 Star from the very first starter to our last breakfast, just awesome! Don't dilly dally just book this place, NOW! The Sams.

Spent a week last week at Chalet Guytaune. These guys got it right. The food was fantastic, the cakes out of this world (specially my Birthday cake). They really looked after us extremely well, nothing was too much trouble for them. From the moment we arrived they made us feel right at home. The chalet has all the comforts you need and it feels very homey. What a shock today when had to drive ourselves around, make our beds and dinner was a simple one course dinner. We are looking forward to see you all next year!

We spent last week with Ride and Slide, our first stay...and what a stay. The team couldn't do enough for us and exercised the highest professionalism - ALWAYS. The food was 5 star, The Chalet 5 star and the service...WOW. Just do it!!!

Room Tip: Room 2 is on the ground floor, a little small but warm, quiet and great views.

We are a group of 14 adults (7 couples) who have just returned from a weeks skiing at Chalet Guytaune and we genuinely cannot think of enough wonderful things to say about the whole experience. If you are reading this review wondering whether to book, I couldn't recommend them more highly.

This is the 6th year we have organised a ski trip and stayed in a catered chalet (at the same price) and hands down this was by far the best chalet we have ever stayed in!

The photos on the website do not do it justice- the living area is much larger and cosier than it looks, with more than enough space for 14 adults. The living area is linked to the dining area and makes for a great, comfortable and sociable space. It's not often a chalet is better than the photos look!

The chalet is beautifully presented with great attention to detail, luxurious feel and all 7 rooms are equally fab, so no one draws the short straw.

Location wise it is 5 minutes from town in the car but the bus practically runs past the door and none of that really matters anyway as the chauffeur service from the team means you get driven around like royalty!

The food was absolutely superb; genuine restaurant quality every single night. 3 beautiful courses with high quality, free flowing wine all night (!!!) and then followed by generous and varied cheeses in the comfort of the living room. Breakfast was a feast with pancakes, crepes, sausage and egg muffins, smoked salmon and scrambled eggs... It really did surpass every expectation and made for a wonderful week. And Ash's cakes are something else!!!

Despite all of this what truly makes this chalet something very special is the Ride and Slide team; from Katy in the office when we were booking the holiday, to Cris, Ash & Trinnie in the chalet and Jon and Lisa the owners, NOTHING was too much trouble!

There are a lot of companies out there claiming excellent service but with these guys it really isn't just a claim... It is in everything they do and they genuinely care about their guests and it comes across in everything they do.

Cris and Ash are an absolute credit to Ride and Slide and really made the whole experience for us! We have stayed in many beautiful chalets but it's the service that makes the real difference to your holiday and these guys have it spot on!!!

Superb chalet, superb hosts and an awesome holiday- cannot recommend highly enough!

Had a great short break at Chalet Guytaune. The chalet is really cosy and comfortable, the food was exquisite, and Cris and Ash looked after us wonderfully. The trip took a slight (!) turn for the worse on our last day when I broke my shoulder, but the whole Ride & Slide team were amazingly helpful and caring. Couldn't ask for more.
