This was our first snow holiday and we couldn’t have asked for any more. When we were booking with SKP Ski, it was clear that they had thought of everything, from (discounted) transfers and ski hire, to information on lift passes and the many slopes Port de Soleil has to offer.

From the moment we arrived, Steve and Sarah made us feel so welcome and comfortable. The bedrooms are well furnished and most have a balcony offering beautiful views of the town and main slopes. The spacious lounge/dining room, also with balcony, provides plenty of room for all guests to enjoy the Sky TV, Xbox and DVD collection.

Don’t be put off by the location of this chalet. Being situated just outside the centre of Morzine works to its advantage because of the views afforded and, with Steve always on hand to drop us off and pick us up, we had a choice of which slopes to enjoy rather than having to start at the one nearest to us if we opted for a ski-in ski-out accommodation. We went into the town a couple of times for a few late drinks and it was an easy 15-minute walk.

The home-cooked food that Sarah prepared was delicious. The choice of hot and/or cold breakfast was a perfect start for an active day. A freshly baked cake with a hot drink when we got in from the slopes was very welcome and then the canapés whetted our appetites for the evening meal, which never disappointed.

We didn’t try the sauna but can highly recommend the hot tub! Enjoying a drink while we warmed up, and allowed our muscles to recover from a hard day snowboarding, quickly became a necessary late-afternoon activity. Again, the views from the hot tub made it extra special.

We are definitely going back!!!

16-23 March 2014. My wife, daughter and husband and 14month old granddaughter have just had the catered chalet experience to beat all others. Steve and Sarah our chalet hosts are the most considerate, thoughtful and professional we have ever met in our 10 years of ski chalet holidays. The daily 'taxi service' i.e. Steve, including trips with push chair and baby, never ceased to impress, as nothing was too much trouble. Sarah's ability in the kitchen to produce such wonderful, tasteful and varied food, including vegetarian for my daughter and husband, was exceptionally skilful and first class. The wine wasn't bad either!! Real quality wine which flowed freely. Steve and Sarah made this a most memorable holiday for my family; it was a pleasure to meet them, they are a fantastic couple, a fantastic chalet with incredible views of Morzine and overall a fantastic holiday!

Me and the Mrs are always disorganised and end up booking our hols very last minute. SKPSki were one of the first to respond to our cry for help on Chalets Direct and boy am I glad I we chose them. Over the space of two days they organised our trip from transfers to equipment hire and we feel we've had amazing value for money.

After our short complimentary transfer from Geneva we received a warm welcome from Steve and Sarah who were kind enough to have rearrange their day off so they could welcome and feed us (We did a non standard Wednesday to Wednesday week). Champagne and Canapés on arrival were just the start of the amazing food and drink to come and over the week Sarah wowed us with course after course of delicious home cooked food, it really made the holiday and was in a different league to the food in any chalet we've stayed at before.

The Chalet was beautifully furnished with all the creature comforts; Honesty bar, sky tv, comfortable beds with quality linnen, I could go on but there are so many to list, basically they have thought of everything. The hot tub was excellent offering amazing views just like the images on the website depict and the Sauna was always ready for our use.

Steve was great with the transfers to the slopes every morning offering to take and collect us from anywhere in Morzine and the surrounding valleys. This was perfect as on a couple of occasions we boarded a little to far but a quick txt and Steve was on his way and met us at the bottom of the nearest valley.

In summary this was by far the best catered chalet experience I've personally had in over 15 years having stayed at several both in the French Alps and Canada. We feel very lucky to have found this little gem and we will be returning hopefully before the seasons out work permitting but if not most certainly next year.

Deciding to meet with family living in Europe for a ski holiday was easy but trying to pick a place to stay never is. After my sister did countless hours of internet research our choice was narrowed down to two and though you might say Chalet Chelmer won WE were the winners!! From the moment we arrived at the airport in Geneva until the moment we left we were well taken care of. Steve and Sarah are amazing and overlooked nothing!! Some may be discouraged because it is not ski-in ski-out but when you have Steve ready and willing to drop you at the slopes and pick you up in a moments notice one really is just like the other BUT given there were mornings both the main bubble and chair lift in Morzine were down and we had Steve willing to drop us other places to get around the crowds topped any ski-in ski-out hotel or chalet. Our group totaled 4 adults and 4 children (9, 7, 6, and 4) and though we rented out the whole Chalet we all remarked that we could have easily fit another family. Both Sarah and Steve were amazing with the kids with Sarah pulling double duty in the kitchen to prepare both a kid friendly and adult dinner each night smiling all the while. Additionally, Sarah's cooking is second to none and the variety of meals and flavors was so incredible I can't even pick a favorite! Also remarkable in that in just one weeks time Sarah and Steve in an unobtrusive way became an extension of family. If I could keep this place a secret I would... only so that next time we go back I won't have to worry about it being booked!!

Just had a week in the chalet with our family of 6 adults , a 7 year old, 12 year old and 2 year old....February 2014 .we just couldn't fault it , Steve and Sarah were fantastic , couldn't do enough for us, great food and lovely wine. The chalet itself is lovely with wifi, sky tv , wood burner, boot room ,DVDs etc , large sofas, sauna and jacuzzi and snowy garden which the kids loved with all with beautiful views of the mountain plus a cosy and very comfortable feel . Steve and Sarah were always available without ever being intrusive and were a lovely genuine couple just always happy to help and totally added to the experience .Steve was a welcome additional pundit on the sofa for the rugby !....Some of the aperitifs before supper and the tea were gorgeously tasty especially the legendary rocky road , cheesy dough / rolls and mini toad in the hole and the evening meals were always delicious and Sarah was a terrific in the kitchen ( breakfast was great too with fresh breads, croissants etc etc) Steve ferried us around the resort with pleasure which was brilliant with tired kids.Wouldn't hesitate to recommend 100% booking just perfect , a definite gem Rob S.

Found this place through Chalets Direct and despite many replies from other chalets, this seemed to be the one for us. After our holiday we appreciated how lucky we were to choose Chalet Chelmer. First of all, don't be fooled by the lack of reviews, Stephen & Sarah have past experience as chalet hosts but this is actually their business and they are in their first season at this establishment. I expect them to get many more excellent reviews during the season. They have really thought through what is needed and I haven’t been anywhere better. They are very attentive and it certainly seemed genuine.

In the main living area you eat your evening meal and there is the TV & sofa area with an outstanding elevated view over Morzine. For entertainment there is a full Sky TV package, movies, SKY Sport & even BT Sport. Hot tub on the terrace was a new experience for me and a great way to regenerate the aching limbs, plus it looked out over Morzine so we could even watch the fireworks whilst sipping a glass of wine !!

Sarah is the food expert and her food was fantastic. I honestly loved each of the evening meals & we got canapés, 3 courses & then the cheese board came out !!

Great choice of wine, I’m a red wine fan and each of three different reds on offer were top class. There is also a fairly priced honesty bar available.

Stephen was the ‘head of transport’ and it was a massive bonus to be taken & fetched from the lifts and even back to the bars – no need to catch the bus.

I don’t want to sound like a stuck record but our hosts and the chalet really is that good – I know my group will be back.

We stayed with Sarah and Steve in mid January for our anniversary and can honestly say it was our best holiday by far. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left nothing was too much trouble and their attention to detail was second to none (even the table mats were perfectly aligned each day).

Some of the 5* hotels we've stayed in previously can take note of the service these guys are offering especially Sarah's cooking which was superb, theres nothing better than coming back from the slopes to an aroma of freshly baked cakes and a hearty meal on the stove before hopping into the hot tub to ease the muscles.

The chalet itself is equally excellent with it's spacious rooms and furnishings but it's the views of Morzine which steal the show. Although situated overlooking Morzine as opposed to some of the more central chalets Steve was ever the gentleman and would drop us off at the lifts and pick us up each day.

The only bad part of our stay was coming home, we'll definitely be back sooner rather than later.

Room Tip: Master room on the top floor has perfect uninterrupted views of Morzine and the Pleny lift.
