What a wonderful week we had at the Apine Refuge on our first family skiing holiday.

Darren & Sam were extremely helpful when booking, and helped us with everything from greeting us at the airport to saying goodbye on our last day (including booking skiiing lessons, hiring equipment, transfers, pointing us to great skiing etc etc...... )

The chalet was WONDERFUL; super clean, nicely set out, in an excellent location, with a great view and a hot tub. The food was perfect with a nice wide variety of dishes and wine was plentiful. Our Chalet hosts were helpful, kind, professional but relaxed, and patient with the children (aged 7 and 5).
Would definitely recommend this chalet. Simply excellent.

We have stayed in Alpine Refuge almost more times than we can remember in both summer and winter! It is one of our favourite 'refuges' and every time we visit we wish we could stay longer. Our visits are always enhanced by our wonderful hosts, Darren and Sam Woodley (Great Escape) who are true friends and have seen all our children grow up. They have all fallen in love with Morzine and the French Alps and will continue to visit with their own families as long as we are welcomed. We cannot recommend this place too highly as a peaceful haven Nd my only hesitation in writing a review is in case it gets too popular and we are unable to get the dates that we want!

We have stayed here twice as a family of 5, (children ranging from 8 to 13). Beautiful Alpine chalet, very clean, great rooms. Great location, right in Morzine, so easy to walk in if you want to, but quiet at night. Food was amazing both times. They really can't do enough for you. Even finding us a Ski jacket to borrow when one was left at Gatwick. Offered a drop off and pick up service and were very flexible with this.Ski hire shop just at top of road, and will deliver/pickup equipment. Also mix of guests had been carefully thought through. Would definitely go again. Obviously skiing is not a cheap holiday but what you get for your money here is very good value.

We had an amazing holiday, great hosts, they were brilliant, they were everything you could wish for in chalet hosts, great company, bright, bubbly and always greeted with a smile. The chalet is lovely, nice size with a homely feel, the food was great with plenty of wine. Sam was great when booking the holiday, made it really easy for us. Darren showed us the some great areas to go play in. All in all one of the best ski holidays I've ever had. Looking forward to next season!!
