I agree a 2 star hotel that lends itself to 3 stars. As previous reviews extremely well run by Claire who makes everyone feel welcome and has great hosting skills. It's a great idea to have a weekly fondue ( beef or cheese options) as we all ate together and gave us a chance to meet other people. The food was plentiful and really tasty. Christina was our waitress and was charming and did all she could to help.
Our rooms were cleaned and tidied daily , for us always before we returned to our room after breakfast.
There is communal sitting, television, bar, table tennis, pool table, a small gym area and a v small indoor swimming pool ( adjoining a v small outdoor pool), There is a lift and ski lockers in the basement.
A ski bus stop was outside the hotel but a 10 minute walk would get you to the Super Morzine lift and a further 10minute walk to the Pleny lift. I think the location was excellent and obviously quiet at bedtime!
We wouldn't expect anything more and there was nothing we felt we could fault. A little niggle was a 3pm check in and as it was raining when we arrived the last thing we wanted to do was go into Morzine. But we probably could have waited in the communal area ( another guest who was delayed and who didn't arrive until very late was served supper and we were given an early breakfast on departure so I have to be fair!)
We had a great week and would certainly recommend.

My 4 days stay in Morzine exceeded all expectations and turned out to be far too short. Perfect location, spotlessly clean room with amazing views, extremely friendly and helpful staff, and last but not least : the warm welcome and efficient omni-presence throughout my stay of Madame Claire, the owner. She goes many many extra miles to make every guest feel at home. I had half-board and highly recommend it, because Joseph (Claire's husband and chef de cuisine) turns every meal into a feast. Breakfast buffet is varied and ample, and dinner is really something to look forward to (although there is plenty of choice (restaurants and snackbars) to have lunch in the immediate surroundings of the hotel, I always skipped it to 'save' my appetite for dinner time) . Every day there is a fixed 4-course menu of local specialties and once a week the traditional fondue is served (not to be missed!). Vegetarians are well looked after here too, since Joseph will (upon request) prepare an alternative and equally varied menu. In summary: this hotel is perfect value for money and I will certainly go back there next year. A few details which are worth mentioning (because I have stayed in many 3 and 4 star hotels which lacked exactly these details) : a perfect shower with hot water at ALL times and good lights to read in bed (even after having tasted the hotel's home-made brandy). One last advice : the only thing to avoid is the (one) 'avoid avoid avoid' comment one of the guests wrote, because it's absolute nonsense! Un très grand merci à Madame Claire, Joseph, Annabel, Roxy et les autres pour un séjour inoubliable. Je reviendrai !

Stayed a few weeks ago in the Beau Regard with a big group ( 14) of ( mature ! ) men . Claire the owner / manager is indeed ( as described by some reviewers) formidable , but is good fun and runs a very good hotel . She was very helpful . Food good and staff excellent. Location is perfect - less than 10 minutes easy walk to super morzine gondola plus the main street ( shops , pubs , restaurants etc) . The excellent free bus service also stops outside the hotel - there is one around 7pm all the way home from apres ski in Dixie's ! . Would stay in the Beau Regard again for sure .

Room Tip: room with balcony

This was our first family skiing trip and, along with two other families with whom we'd travelled, we left loving the place. Mme Claire greeted us as if we'd been many times before and really couldn't have been more accommodating during our stay (we think she'd have been happy to keep our youngest there!).

Our room was perfect. We've three children and we were pleased to find the room had a large walk in wardrobe to accommodate the kit, a double bed for 'the grown ups' and a separate room with three single beds for the children. This room led to the bathroom which was a good size for the five of us and there was never a shortage of hot water when we needed it.

The menu was pre set each night and whilst there was no choice in what to have, that really didn't matter. It gave us the chance to sample delicious local cuisine and it was a pleasure to see everyone in the group tucking into their meal with gusto.

Breakfast was simple but provided a good choice of cereals, pastries, cooked items and some rather good coffee!

The ski lift to Avoriaz was a couple of minutes walk away and the lift to the le Pleney about 10 minutes walk through town.

The hotel has a perfect quality/price balance. Very tidy rooms and peaceful at night.Nice breakfast buffet with lots of variety. A very tasteful dinner as well with in cosy atmosphere. Nice and friendly servants and the lady of the hotel, Claire makes you feel at home immediately. She's very concerned about her guests. The only hotel of the town with a splendid view.
