We stayed at the Renardiere in early March. The chalet is located on the out skirts of town with a 10 to 15 minute walk into town. So be aware that you really need to leave your skis and boots somewhere in town. Therefore I suggest that you do not hire your ski package with Alpine Elements whom monopolise the chalet. Use a Ski hire company in Morzine that stores your equipment for you for the length of your stay. You will also have a far greater choice of newer equipment. This is by far the best option. There are places that offer storage for your own equipment for around 20 euros per week near the bottom of the Pleney lifts. You will have some time available on the Sunday afternoon to sort this out. We didn’t rush off to ski that first afternoon! A word of warning! If you are or thinking of hiring your ski equipment from Alpine Elements. Their shop is on the other side of town. AE will run a bus to collect your gear and you can leave it to be picked up at the chalet at the end of your stay, which was excellent. BUT should you need to change anything boots etc. it was for us a two hour wait for a lift to the shop and missed the après ski etc. Alpine Elements have their own hire equipment shop and in Morzine...More
