I stayed at Chalet Joseph for one week at the start of April 2013 with a group of 10 friends (mixed group aged between 23-27). Having been on a few snowboarding holidays but never fully catered we were not sure what to expect but it was awesome!!
Russ was our host and Sarah the chef for the week. the food was fantastic every day - three course home cooked meal every night (examples of mains were: tarteifflet, roast pork belly, chicken pie, curry) - you will not go hungry staying with Rude! The breakfast was a good selection of cereal, eggs (cooked how you like them), yogurt, fruit ect, a good start to a day on the slope! We tended to stay out until 5.30 - 6 so ate lunch on the mountain but on returning there was always a fresh baked cake and any left overs from the evening meal before. The free wine and beer was pretty great too and the free Redbull!
Russ and Sarah were happy to help with anything and give advice on places to eat/drink in Morzine. We had a go at night sledging which was fun and only about £10 and one member of our group whet paragliding (starting off near the Zore lift from super Morzine) on the recommendation of Sarah which she LOVED!
All bar one member of our group hired equipment with Rude and it was great quality - all burton boards, boots and bindings and in top condition. One person wasn't happy with the fit of boots after the first day and Dan, the resort manager was round the next morning to change them.
We really enjoyed have Zac the Rude photographer with us for half a day, he made sure that everyone in the group, of all levels, got on the video at least for a bit. He also pointed out where some of the jumps were at the side of the slopes - I never would of spotted these with out Zac!!
The rooms were good, nice and clean and it was so good to have an en suite bathroom in each room so there was no waiting for the shower after a long day on the slopes!! We stayed on the bottom floor of the chalet where there were 5 double/twin room and a large lounge/kitchen area. on the top floor were a family with young children and a grandma - we saw them at dinner as you all sit on a long table together but as we aren't a rowdy group I think we got on pretty well.
Overall I would recommend Rude to anyone - regardless of age or group size. Everyone is made to feel welcome, the chalet is great and really well equipped and the food is sooooooooo good. I will certainly be going on holiday with Rude again without a doubt.
PS - the snow was also great considering how last in the season we went, we had fresh powder some days!!
