My friend and I stayed here for 8 nights last week. The hotel is in a great location and the bar downstairs seemed lively on the two occasions we had some drinks down there. One of the most reasonably priced hotels in Morzine and everything was ok. Rooms are very small though. Staff are friendly enough and willing to accommodate requests but don't seem to have that much knowledge of the local area or perhaps just didn't want to share...It I were to head back to Morzine and were not able to get a chalet I would look to stay again because it's reasonably priced.

PS. If you do stay here, it's worth asking where the working plug sockets in the rooms are. The sockets high up on the wall that you can see don't actually work

Just got back from a 5 day mountainbiking excursion to Morzine, Rooms are spot on, staff are brilliant, & the twice we ate in the evenings the food was spot on. Bar downstairs is popular with locals & mountain bikers alike, good atmosphere & nicely presented with free WiFi.Secure Storage locker at rear for Ski's or Bikes & in perfect location for gondola & lift access. Pretty good value all round (certainly for the area) clean & comfortable rooms, nice balcony views, charming church opposite ( yes bells!) & gushing mountain river outside all adds to ambiance & charm.
I'm extensively travelled & this was a first for the area & all in all, I don't think anyone would have anything to complain about with this establishment.

Took a large group of clients/friends and discovered that you can't operate a bar/club and hostel in one package. As prior comments state have to sit for diner at incovenient time is not great or having to put up with the chaos and racket adjacent to it.
Bar gets very busy with a combination of smelly bodies straight from the slopes, rowdy posh gap year ski bums and and a collection of chemicaly induced French locals.
Our room was woken up in the middle of the night by a flat rented out above the Dixie Bar, but below ours. The same ski bums that know all the Rhodos staff decided to have a drum and bass night that shook our room for hours until we could find how to get into their flat. Boot room is tiny, cold and the floor is the swimming pool feature they miss from the description. Food is plentiful but very average. Pay a little extra elsewhere and enjoy it a whole lot more.

Room Tip: Don't take front facing rooms.

After reading some of the reviews on Trip Advisor about the Rhodos Hotel I was concerned that we had made a poor decision to stay here for our annual ski trip, I am glad to say my fears were unfounded.
The rooms we stayed in (rooms 3 & 4) were smallish but absolutely fine, clean with stylish and comfortable furniture. We had no problems with noise from the bar below and closed the shutters on the balcony to reduce the light in the morning and any other noise, Snoring from my room mate was the only reason I was kept awake!
The staff were friendly and helpful, we booked transfers, ski hire and lift passes through these guys and were driven to Ridge Sports to pick up our gear, one of our group wanted a different pair of boots after the first day and he was driven there and back to sort out his boots with very little fuss. Instead of being taken to the shop to return our gear they came and picked it up and took it back themselves which enabled us to enjoy an extra drink in the bar.
Breakfast was basic with tea, coffee and juices with cereals, bread, croissants and pain au chocolat. We went half board and the three course evening meal was excellent, dinner was served between 6.30 and 7.00 and even though there was no choice available each course we were served was very good. To save money we also booked the packed lunch for our final days skiing and again we were all pleasantly surprised and had more food than necessary.
The bus stop just over the road to the Prodains / Verane lifts proved to be very handy and gave us easy access to the Avoriaz ski area and prevented us from any lengthy walks to ski lifts.
Overall we all thought it was a great place to stay and although skiing holidays are never cheap we thought it was great value.

Room Tip: Rooms 3/4 have good view and balcony (4 is bigger)

I have just returned from a 3 night stay here with my teenage son. The Hotel is clean and comfortable with its own popular bar and restaurant. Its only a 5-10 minute walk to the ski lifts and very handy for shops and other bars etc. Although there is a very popular bar downstairs and next door, i can honestly say i didn't hear a thing at night. The residents on half board are served a set 3 course menu each evening and although i really enjoyed the food, my teenage son who will not venture further than, burgers, pizza, chips etc etc wasn't too impressed. As there was no other choices. The only other issue was, we booked a late evening flight to get another days skiing in, unfortunately you have to be out of your room by 10am (which was expected) but there is nowhere to have a wash and change before you head for the airport. When we arrived at the hotel, we were greeted by people getting dressed in the corridors, now we know why. Having said all that, i would definately stay there again.

A bunch of forty- and fifty-somethings, with high potential for grump factor, spent five days in Morzine, staying at Les Rhodos. Amazingly, there was no grumping about this place. A previous reviewer described this as 'a hostel for kids', but our middle-aged bunch found it ideal for our stay.

The rooms are small but impeccably clean. The breakfast is functional (cereals/pastries/baguette) while the evening meals proved surprisingly good - e.g. roast vegetable couscous followed by braised beef. Wine is reasonably priced by in-house eating standards (e.g. a good Vacqueyras for 19 Euros).

The staff were uniformly friendly and efficient.

I wouldn't recommend it for families with young children, because the bar is the only area for them to hang out, and it's where you eat too, in a designated area. The bar itself is a buzzing place from about 7.30pm onwards to around 2.00am. We were not bothered by significant noise from the bar in the rooms upstairs (there is a floor in between the bar and the rooms), except on the night of a live band, but that finished by midnight.

And whoever objected to the noise of the river and the church bells is being a little unfair on Les Rhodos - you'd be able to hear those in much of the town! Anyway they are what you'd expect in an Alpine resort that developed from a pre-exisiting village. Morzine itself has a great deal of charm for that very reason (cp Val Thorens or Les Menuires, which may not have church bells, but are like Croydon in the Alps).

A final point on location - a reviewer objected to having to get a bus to the lifts. There are very few places in Morzine from where you can easily walk to the lifts. And you have no option but to get the bus to the main telepherique up to Avoriaz. In the case of Les Rhodos, the stop is literally twenty metres away, so it was no big deal at all.

Having just got back from this years skiing holiday in Saalbach & having such a great time, I realised how poor our previous ski trip had been therefore decided to write this review. This hotel is poorly managed and I felt sorry for the staff who worked there. We had our own skiis & had booked skiis for our children but they still took us to their shop to try to get us to hire our skiis there instead of taking us straight to our hotel. Dinner times were unorganised despite asking for things to be well done we often got raw burgers for the kids. New Years Eve was a joke and noone seemed to know the arrnagements despite several times of asking. The night ended with several french lads who were not staying at the hotel starting trouble with the staff. A nasty fight broke out & some staff ended up in hospital. Fortunately my children & I had gone to bed. It rained for the first couple of days so our ski gear was wet when we came in. The radiators were not on & we complained several times. One night I even had to stand & blow dry our gloves for an hour. My husband returned to Morzine with some friends in February this year & he stayed at Les Cotes hotel which he says was sooo much better. We would definately not stay here again !!
