We booked this hotel as a base for skiing and it did not disappoint. The rooms were excellent having recently been refurbished throughout and we could not fault the quality of the evening meal.
I would expect tea/coffee making facilities in the room but these are not available.
The staff were very helpful.
Checkout is at a relatively early 10am. We had an evening flight on the departure day and wanted to ski all day. At first we were told there was no facility for storing our bags. Fortunately we were able to get around this because we checked out on a Sunday and the hotel office is not used. I would not book here again if I knew bag storage may be a problem, so check if you need this facility.

superb base for our family trip to the slopes. really good staff who were mostly extremely helpful. rooms were excellent - I believe recently refurbed - loads of hot water; cleaned every day. Breakfast a bit too basic, but more than compensated by the evening menu. would not hesitate to come again

The Rhodos Hotel/bar is set in the old centre of this picturesque Savoyard village, within a few minutes walk of the built-entirely-for-tourists 'new centre' with it's many bars, shops, restaurants and other amenities.
At around 1000m with the river Dranse tumbling through, the beautiful baskets of flowers adorning the old stone bridge and the ethereal chimes of the St Marie-Madeleine church bells, Morzine really is a beautiful place to stay.
During the summer months, when we visited, The Rhodos serves as a Bed & Breakfast with great flexibility and no minimum stay. We stayed for just three nights en-route to Les Gets.
The rooms are accessed through a door within the bar area or via a coded security lock from the outside - the information for which you are given on arrival. If you need more information ask at the bar, there is no formal reception area, which helps to keep down staffing costs and therefore room prices - simple!
Ours was a pleasant, clean little room with everything you would expect for €60 per night (for two people) and more, plus a stunning view from the shared balcony over the river, right through the valley and to the mountains beyond. Oh, did I mention there's free WiFi too?
Amazingly the rooms are being extensively refurbished as we speak and will be even better value from the beginning of the 2012/2013 ski season.
By the way, if you're thinking about complaining about the sound the river makes, I should have a long hard think about it first. I found it very soothing and relaxing.
We didn't sample breakfast at The Rhodos (not being sporty types, we missed it) but I'm pretty sure it's along the lines of the standard French-bread-and-a-croissant situation - what do you want for €30 pp pn in France, a fry up?.
We didn't actually have dinner at The Rhodos either, as we only had two full days we found ourselves noodling around town but I can report that the 'Roma' pizza at the L'Auberge de la Combe à Zore' (a couple of minutes walk away) was stunning and the fillet steak at 'Le Clin D'oeil' (a few seconds walk away) was completely superb, as was the service in each.
All-in-all The Rhodos was a pleasant place to stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, particularly Lori from Indiana, drinks prices were sensible, the outside bar area was lovely in sunshine or rain (large canopies protect you from both) and above all the owner, John, is to be seen quite often outside the bar with his iPad clearly standing by his own product and open to questions and suggestions, something you very rarely see these days.
At the end of our stay, he even gave us a lift in his air-conditioned minibus to Les Gets, on his way to the airport!

Stopped at Hotel Rhodos last year when mountain biking in the area & came back this year for another week. Nice rooms, balcony to sit & relax with a few beers after a hard day MTB ing, Way above its league considiering pricing I believe, staff friendly, bar nice & free WiFi, need anything else!
Centrally located both lifts are 5 minutes away & all rooms have shutters to mask the flowing river noise,

Stayed at The Rhodos hotel whilst mountain biking in Morzine and, to be honest, chose it because of its central location and price so wasn't expecting too much but was pleasantly surprised. The staff are really friendly, the rooms are clean with a good shower and nice balcony and a secure place to lock the bikes up (although take some ear plugs if visiting in the spring/summer as the river that runs outside can get quite noisy whilst trying to sleep at night). The bar is a really good place to chill after a busy day or equally good when wanting to watch any sporting events (the wimbledon final was on when we were there) and the food was superb. Would definitely recommend.

Stayed at the Rhodos hotel four days for the 2012 passportes Mountain bike event and we loved the place. It is a very friendly spot with a really good atmosphere night and day, nothing is too much trouble for the staff; they really do look after you in every way. The room was comfy and very well presented with a freshly decorated concept feel, balcony view was quite good too. Secure bike storage is perfect and the food is spot on. (Try tackling a burger!) We most definitely will be returning next year. So if you’re staying in Morzine look no further and Enjoy,
Dean & John, Wakefield, England.

Room Tip: Room 2 was real good for the view or any overlooking the main street

Great place to watch a game and have a few beers. Good TVs, comfortable, very good selection of beers (some nice English ales available). Restaurant food awful though - typical tourist tat. Standard menu, poorly executed. Ordered steak and Roquefort sauce. Steak was adequate, Roquefort sauce was dreadful: looked and tasted like bisto gravy with a vague whiff of Roquefort (pic attached). sent it back only for it to return with even more Roquefort sauce, the (admitedly very charming and apologetic) waitress explaining that it was the "chef's special recipe". Mmm. Booming techno music added little to the ambience.

As mentioned, great for watching sport and having a few beers (less grubby than Dixies beside it) but might be best steering clear of the food.
