This is a friendly, clean, visual pleasing B and B. The room, all white and blue, with a definite seaside theme was a very nice place to stay prior to our trip to Skomer, the ferry pier being only a couple of miles away. However, it is small and that would be a problem for me if staying longer than a couple of nights despite the adequate amount of cupboard space and largish bathroom.

From the breakfast menu that was available before 8.00 we chose delicious Eggs Royale - two halves of muffin, each toasted & topped with smoked salmon, poached egg and hollandaise sauce - and they also had gluten free bread from me.

We called on passing for lunch and were treated to one of the most relaxing and lovely meals you could wish for. The service is friendly and the menu quite unusual in places and the food superbly cooked. The proprietors really have got this place absolutely right. I can't recommend it too highly. We had a young baby with us and he too was made extremely welcome.
So good, in fact, we went out of our way to call again on our way home!

The perfect base to explore the Marloes peninsula and visit Skomer Island. A very nice little hotel run by a really nice couple with great personal service. The rooms are comfortable, clean and well equipped. The breakfast (provided) and food in the cafe downstairs was all excellent. And if worrying about the clock as mentioned in some older reviews - it now does not chime at night; we were in the room closest to it with a baby and it really did not bother us at all. I can highly recommended the Clock House.

This was selected for our overnight stop at the end of day one of six walking part of the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path.
What an excellent choice after 17+ miles: very friendly service; spotless rooms and comfy beds; and a great breakfast - I selected the Eggs Benedict. It would have been great to also try the cafe but our time did not permit,

We stayed at the Clock House for two nights. We intended to walk part of the coastal path and maybe visit Skomer (unfortunately it was too windy for the boats to launch, which had been the case for several days). All of our fellow guests appeared to be walkers and I imagine that almost all visitors to this part of Pembrokeshire are planning to explore the glorious countryside. If you are looking for a boutique B&B this would not be it, but for a lovely relaxing stay in a convenient location after a day's walking it is perfect.
We booked late and the B&B rooms were full, but Sue offered us a room in the "group accommodation". This consists of a twin room, a double and a single with a shower room and additional loo. All rooms were very light and fresh, decorated in a pale blue and white nautical fashion. We took the twin room, which was spacious and had windows on three sides. The beds were very comfortable and we slept well. The TV in the room was very small but adequate. There were tea and coffee making facilities and a guest fridge downstairs which contained fresh milk for our use. Wifi is free.
Our room contained a booklet with local information. We were very pleased with the leaflets on local walks which Sue and Phil had produced. There were several circular walks from the Clock House which were clearly and accurately described. (You could also buy these in the cafe downstairs.)
Breakfast is served in the cafe. We were given forms to fill in the day before giving our orders. One day we chose a cooked breakfast; my husband had the scrambled eggs with smoked salmon and I chose Eggs Royale. Both were delicious. The second day we thought that the Continental might be a lighter option, but our fresh fruit bowls were huge as were the croissants and pastries! The usual fruit juices, cereals, yogurts and toast were also available of course. We also had an excellent late lunch at the cafe after one of our walks.
For an evening meal we would recommend the Griffin Inn at Dale, a couple of miles down the road.

We were given the group accommodation (two bedrooms and two bathrooms, but no kitchen). The owners were very friendly and there was a very nice lounge downstairs with a good selection of local books. There is also a cafe which forms part of the place. Communal fridge downstairs. The room was quite spacious (we used the twin room). Fast and free internet was provided, but there was no O2 phone coverage. Breakfast was excellent. Ideal base for exploring Skomer and the Pembrokeshire coast.
