Very relaxt and chill place to be! Their simplicity is their charm. The food is great so as the staff And owners. The ocean/jungle view and sound wakes you up in the morning. I Really loved it. You also have the apportunity to join the yoga- or surf class. I would definitly reccomend it.

We absolutely loved this place. We only stayed for 3 days but really regret that we didn't have time to stay longer. The hotel itself is beautiful. The entrance is going to be offputting to some people as you literally feel like you are entering through someone's dusty back gate but as soon as you see the lobby and the view, everything changes. The yoga pad has got to be one of the most beautiful views anywhere. My son and his friend got up early to do the yoga class (which they said was excellent) and they were literally watching whales breaching in the ocean as they did their poses. The meals were delicious with a lot of variety in terms of what was offered. It is a different concept in that all guests eat together at one large table and there is no menu. You literally eat like a family. We actually loved this system as you really got to know everyone else at the hotel. Even though the food is preset in terms of what is offered, they have enough different entrees on the table that you can always find something that you like even if you are picky. Again, the food that we had while there was really exceptional and very fresh. The rooms are all sort of like treehouses in that they are elevated on stilts and in the forest. Again, the view from our room was stunning and the room was fantastic. Be forewarned that there is no hot water but frankly, the temperature is so hot that it tends to be a relief. The walk to the beach is about 5 minutes and it can be a bit of a hike on the way back as it is all uphill and pretty steep but it wasn't really a big deal. I wouldn't book this hotel if you have mobility issues. There is no wifi which at first we found a bit of a pain but after a couple of hours we all agreed that we might implement the same rule when we get back home as it was the first time that we all really talked to each other all the time. Probably the best part of the hotel is the management. There are two couples who run the place and all four of them are really kind, warm people who seem to really love what they do. They eat with the guests at the big table and really focus on making your experience as positive as they can. They passed on their favourite places for lunch and little hidden beaches to hike to. We got to know all four of them and liked them all. I can't think of anything negative about this place. It really was a wonderful experience and I recommend it highly.

Room Tip: We stayed in Room 6 and it looked like it was the nicest room of the hotel. Awesome view off the front deck.

Thanks for staying with us and for the nice and long review!
Sorry about the dusty entrance. We were building a little storage for our propane tanks, but all done now and the dust has settled.
Glad to hear you and your family enjoyed your stay and our company. It was great having you here and hopefully we can welcome you back another time for a longer stay.

A big hug from all of us here at BVSC!

I had an amazing stay at Buena Vista Surf Club! Yoga in the morning, surf during the day and relaxing in the afternoon all combined with delicious family style breakfast and dinners. Met some great people here and definitely recommend it to everyone traveling to Nicaragua.

I was there in december for 9 days to learn how to surf, and to relax. Awesome place, food was brilliant, surfing was great, great chilled atmosphere, beautiful setting and a fabulous tree cabin. Met some very friendly people from all corners of the globe. Congratulations to the owner and his family and to the two couples who were running the place..cannot recommend highly enough ..and i stress, as well as great surfing and yoga, the food was simply out of this world. Hope to go back again..

We really loved our experience at the surf club. Our hosts were super friendly and helpful. The food was amazing, and the meals shared with other guests were interesting. As with the experience in the tree house, it was really special. Definitely recommend it. Many thanks to our hosts. And please keep the internet detox.
