We stayed at Whittington Lodge Farm during the Bugatti weekend at the Prescott Speed Hill Climb. Cathy was very accommodating for our late arrival and gave us a very warm and friendly welcome. The room was very clean and inviting with all the amenities you could want plus nice touches like delicious biscuits to have with our hot drinks. The beds were huge and comfortable and provided us with the best night's sleep!

Breakfast was outstanding and I would go back just for that! In fact just writing about it now is making me crave some of that apple juice that is pressed from apples from the establishment's orchard.

Set in the beautiful and tranquil Cotswolds - I will definitely try to go back to this fantastic B&B for a weekend of cycle riding and walks.

I just stayed here for one night on a recent business trip. I normally look for non-chain hotels or B&Bs as I find owner/managers take more care and pride in providing a service, and Whittington Lodge Farm proved just that.
The house provides a lovely ambience and is set in a beautiful rural village, surrounded by stunning countryside with lots of good walking if you care to step outside. The rooms are tastefully appointed and catered with all the usual teas, coffees etc (and a shared fridge stocked with chilled water and fresh milk.) A good breakfast with local ingredients topped it off.
If I find myself in the area in the future I would definitely stay again.

We stayed at the Whittington Lodge Farm with Cathy during Cheltenham festival in 2012. We were lucky to get a booking as one of her other guests had to cancel last minute.

The stay was very enjoyable - Cathy was very accommodating, and for a very reasonable additional sum even drove us to (and picked us up) from the racecourse, as well as directing us to a local pub for dinner.

The accommodation was fantastic. A great quiet location and very good, clean rooms and bathroom.

We were disappointed to have to leave early in the morning, so were unable to stay for breakfast, but fortunately that's given us an excuse to return!

I'd highly recommend staying here - you won't be disappointed.

Room Tip: We paid a little more for the room with own its dedicated bathroom - I'd recommend this.

Whittington Lodge Farm was one of the finest B&Bs we have visited. We enjoyed the wonderful hospitality of Jan and Cathy Boyd.
The house is beautiful and the attention to detail superb.
The room we stayed in was pleasant and light, nicely decorated. The bathroom was clean and modern. The drawing and dining room is elegant and comfortable. We enjoyed the ample breakfast.

It has been a great pleasure to us being taken on an informative tour over the farm with cows and calves, orchards, ponds, the variety of birds, wild flowers,… Last but not least – we enjoyed the dogs!

The Farm is an ideal location to explore the surrounding areas.

Whenever visiting the region again we would love to return.

We stayed as the guests of Cathy and Ian Boyd on 11-14 March 2011. Whittington Lodge is a beautiful Jacobean Revival house sitting in its own gardens (with ample parking) above peaceful Whittington Village, next to its 700 acre farm. Our guest room struck a satisfying balance between soothing minimalist and lively rustic, with prints of bouncy hares and thick woven floral curtains against an airy colour scheme. Window blinds and a luxury SK bed assured undisturbed sleep. Our large fridge was kept topped up with fruit and mint chocolates to enjoy with our tea and coffee. We also had the use of a tastefully furnished double aspect breakfast room / guest lounge with home produce, Sanderson curtains, coffee table books and views over the gardens. More a boutique hotel than a guesthouse, our hosts took a discreet interest in our daily adventures - Whittington Farm is in the heart of chocolate box Cotswold Country and also very convenient for grand Regency Cheltenham with its Gustav Holst Museum. We also toured up to Malvern, more of a Midlands Victorian town, with its ornate railway station, bracing hill walks and Morgan car factory. Back at Whittington Lodge Farm, the Boyds have a special interest in wildlife conservation, having won awards for boosting the local partridge and lapwing population. Ian proudly offers guests a farm safari which in our case was somewhat more productive than similar outings we have had in India and Botswana!. The Boyds also have their own herd of Hereford cattle and meat from the farm is available to purchase - ours is in pride of place on our freezer top shelf waiting for an appropriately important occasion to tuck in!
