“A beautiful haven in the Brecon Beacons”
Reviewed 31 October 2016 for a stay in September 2016

This home is fitted out to a high standard. Next door to a beautiful ancient church in a very quiet environment yet close walking distance to an assortment of good pubs, excellent walks and interesting Welsh towns such as Abergavenny.

Cottage is so welcoming and very well equipt right down to a great selection of family games! Immaculate inside and very comfortable. Would definitely stay again and the area is so pretty. Great walks in every direction and a lovely village with everything you would need.

“A gem in The Brecons crown!”
Reviewed 2 June 2016 for a stay in May 2016

We stayed in May with a 19 month old in tow. Communication with the owner prior to our trip was perfect and Sue also accommodated us arriving on a day she wouldn't normally work... Thank you Sue.
The cottage was also really easy to find despite being really tucked away in a picture postcard village. Nestles right next to the church and the canal it really is beautiful.
The cottage itself is really well equipped with everything you need for a really comfortable stay. It has been said before but the beds just swallow you up and although our mountain climbing days are temporarily on hold with a toddler we still found loads to do.
The Brecon Mountain Railway at the Pontsticill Resevoir just North of Merthyr Tydfil is a must with small kids......... And big kids.....!
In short, if you are looking for a beautifully situated, well equipped, comfortable cottage with really friendly neighbours then look no further than Little Shoe Cottage.
Thank you Val and Sue, we hope to be back...
PS...... Our little one fell in love with Henry the cat and keeps looking for him!!

“Good location to explore the Brecon Beacons”
Reviewed 11 May 2016 for a stay in April 2016

A clean comfortable cottage with a very well equipped kitchen.
While there we walked up Pen Y Fan , and did the spectacular "Water Fall Walk " near Ystradfellte . We also walked by the Canal that runs near Langattock.
A 20 minute walk across a field takes you into the pretty town of Crickhowell where we enjoyed coffee at Latte Da and an evening meal at The Dragon Inn.
We enjoyed our stay.

“A Lovely and well equiped cottage, we will go back”
Reviewed 29 September 2015 for a stay in September 2015

This cottage has everything you need for a perfect stay. The views are breathtaking and you can hike for miles both easy and challenging right out of the front door. There is a delightful church next door and my friend and I were enchanted by the beautiful bells on Sunday and don't miss the fantastic stain glass windows I have been to churches all over the world and I have to say these are magnificent. Make sure you get good directions to the cottage there is a right turn just before a narrow bridge in Llangattok that is not well marked.

“Restful”
Reviewed 14 September 2015 for a stay in September 2015

Beautiful cottage cosy and comfortable especially the beds and bedding. The kitchen was very well equipped and the gift of eggs, milk, bread, butter and welsh cakes was a very thoughtful touch. The area was very pretty with a lovely walk into Crickhowell and a visit to nearby Aberystwyth and Brecon is a must. Thank you Val you have a little gem of a cottage.
