The house is in a small hamlet, very close to the bigger village of Graça, which has a shop, a bar and a Sunday market, and a 15 minute drive to the sizable (and beautiful) town of Figueiró dos Vinhos. It is a lovely spot, and the pool is nicely secluded. What we really loved was the terrace and barbeque space at the back, looking over the pool. There were four of us, and one person just liked to chill in the shade, reading, so it was perfect. We had barbeques every single night and sat at the table outside on the terrace to eat. Nicola allowed us to bring our aging Labrador too and I think he had the vacation of a lifetime! Highly recommended.
Even in Christmas, it was beautiful, very spacious inside for the little ones, set in a beautiful scenery with a lovely traditional little village nearby. Overall a amazing place that I have already booked to go again this year and have recommended to many friends.
A beautiful view and pool, I had a lovely relaxing stay with a few friends. Great value for money! Would totally recommend.
Amazing views and a beautifully secluded spot! I loved this place and so did my wife ! The location Is great for exploring as it is surrounded by beautiful woods and mountains. Safe to say we had an amazing time thank you very much!
This holiday venue is ideal for those who need a complete rest and relaxation break. It is away from the hussle and bustle of resorts and shows Portugal in it's traditional surroundings. There are things to do nearby - the local towns and beauty attractions are well worth a visit. The villa has everything you need for a restful holiday and trying to get the children out of the pool will probably be the greatest challenge of your stay!

If you are looking for unspoilt natural beauty and somewhere to get away from it all for a week or two, this is the place to go: located in a tiny rural hamlet, the villa is absolutely ideal for couples or families wishing to recharge the batteries. Tucked down a sleepy lane lined with hanging vines and fields of fig and olive trees, the villa has been lovingly restored and is in a fabulous location on the fringes of a forest packed with pine and eucalyptus. There are no noisy neighbours here, just the occasional chug of a passing tractor and the sounds of the crickets during the heat of the day. The villa has everything you would need for a relaxing, comfortable break, from a fully-equipped kitchen, two bathrooms – one of which has a walk in shower which was so enjoyable it was easy to lose an hour in there! – and three bedrooms, including a lovely mezzanine master bedroom. TV and free Wi-Fi are also provided making it easy to stream films and TV shows or spend time online, while the Portuguese countryside offers excellent walks and biking trails in some of the prettiest landscapes we have ever seen. The icing on the cake is a fantastic swimming pool which overlooks a tiny valley surrounded by woodland and farmers’ fields, where you can see the locals at work amongst the fruit trees and impressive vegetable patches. A barbecue area, outdoor shower, patio for sunbathing and a gated veranda add to the ambience and are perfect for outdoor lunches and evening meals, and the pool floodlights can be turned on for swimming as the sun goes down. The pretty village of Graca is a five minute walk north of the villa and has a rustic bar/restaurant and local store, while a short drive away – a hire car is essential here, by the way – lie towns and vibrant cities such as Serta, Figueiro dos Vinhos, Tomar and Coimbra, with plenty of sights, activities and shopping. There is so much to do in the area, such as water parks, speedboat rides on Lake Cabril or just lounging on the river’s edge at one of the many inland river beaches, that we found it hard to squeeze everything in so plan to return next year. This is Portugal at its very best: untouched by mass tourism, richly traditional and with warm, friendly locals. Staying at the villa is the best way to enjoy a brilliant experience in the heart of the Centro region.
