Devils bridge is a lovely spot to visit if your in the area which we were. Very hard climb back up the uneven steps and very wet but well worth it.

Visiting the Falls is a must if you're in West Wales (see the Vale of Rheidol Railway) as they show off the Welsh countryside in another light. They are a short 5-10mins walk from the station and a few quid to enter.

It's worth noting that the terrain is very steep, can be slippy and uneven so not recommended for buggies or wheelchairs although you can leave them at the top.

The walk follows the Falls as they descend into the valley and provides various viewpoints from which to soak up the views. We visited on a gloomy grey day but this only added to the ambience of the place. It's also a good work out with often steep steps defining the route.

It'll take you about an hour or two depending on whether you stop and it's worth getting the guidebook (50p) to give you a bit more knowledge about the Falls and the history of the location.

Great walk. Lots of steps. Took me back to my childhood. Worth a look to get the blood pumping. Could be cheaper!

We went here for a walk with 3 children (aged 10, 7 and 5) and we're not very fit but this was a really nice walk. There's a car park next to a gift shop and ice cream shop, which you pay for at a small desk next to a turnstile at the start of the path, where you can also get a map and information booklet. The three bridges are right at the start of the walk, so if you don't want to do the whole thing you can just go through to there. If you decide to do the full walk then you go down a path with some very steep steps and several scenic spots to stop. You can catch glimpses of the waterfall on the way down but on climb back up you get a much better view. It probably took us about an hour to do the whole walk and we were pretty tired on the way back up, but there was a nice cafe to get an ice cream at the top and the views were worth it. There is also a toilet available in the shop at the top of the hill, but they don't like you using it while they're closing up. They're a bit more sympathetic to kids though. If you have mobility issues it's not for you though.

Thank you for your review and great photos. I'm glad that you managed to do the whole walk and didn't turn back. It is hard going but an ice cream at the top helps ease the pain!

Stopped here on the way from Snowdonia to Cardiff. Price was OK and the views were beautiful. The free parking was full so we parked at the nearby "touristy" steam-engine train station - great place for a picnic after the walk.
