We arrived to find toilets either blocked or dirty. The floor is dirty.
There is no real waiting room for the beauty treatments. The staff member responsible for buzzing you into the spa left the desk often and then u have to wait to get let in.

The whole place needs a good clean and refurb. If you want a spa day- best go elsewhere.

We came here for a spa break, we did not get a spa break. It was extremely disappointing. The staff were rude and unhelpful. We had a spa treatment and it was more like torture, nothing about tranquillity or relaxation, the 'therapists' were more like prison officers! The camp bed placed in our room had slats missing so was uncomfortable. The room was spacious but that was about it. The afternoon tea we had tasted stale. Would never in a million years go back.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights on the 11/6 and 12/6. After reading several mixed reviews on this web site I was a little cautious. However I feel that the accommodation, food, hospitality were really really good value for money. Yes the decor in places does look a little dated and in need of a face lift but nothing to complain about. The staff were some of the most helpful I have ever encountered, giving good money saving advice about site seeing in Liverpool. Sited very near to the motorway, I didn't really notice any noise. I think if you have it in your mind to complain you will always find fault. I tend to look at the positives, I would recommend a stay here for anyone, city breaks etc.

Room Tip: We stayed in a standard room, although it was on the small side it was clean tidy and ample for our...

Stayed for 2 nights in a family room. Hotel public areas are clean & tidy, our room could have done with updating but was ok. Pool & spa areas ok. Breakfast was great. All in all ok for the price we paid.

Room was fine and pleasant. hotel staff fine. predominantly a business-type hotel, not ideal for a get away otherwise.

On site restaurant was okay - food was fine, portions not very big.

On an industrial estate - nothing really to do in the surroundings although it was only a short distance to Chester which we drove to for the day.

Didn't use the spa or gym facilties

I stayed here 31st May - this hotel is not as bad as people make out! I would like to give credit to the staff, as they are friendly, attentive and pleasant. I would especially like to say that the waitress on the door, called Daisy, she was exceptionally polite, curtious and made a lasting impression on both myself and my wife. A lovely girl and I felt like I needed to relay it. All in all a lovely hotel.

Visited on a KGB deal and was not disappointed. The check in was very effiecient and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable but badly in need of an upgrade. The carpet had lots of stains and the bathroom blind didn't close but this didn't spoil our stay. The carvery was very good with plenty of choice of vegetables. Breakfast was really good, one of the nicest we have had, plenty of choice, piping hot and fresh. Staff were very pleasant and cleared you used plates away really quickly.
