We stayed here for 2 nights on a voucher deal. The first room was dirty, when we changed the second room was better.
The spa isn't great with a below average massage. The steam room was out of order, the fun shower isn't very fun, and generally the pool area need a good scrub.
The restaurant was ok. They took a couple of goes to get the food order right and despite having the cheese board 2 nights it was completely different the second night.
We wouldn't be going back anytime soon

Bought this as a gift through Groupon.. who I will never use again.. Took 4 hours to get there from Manchester because of a bridge being took down so checked in at 5pm missed dinner but told could have it sent up to the room.. nice.. The room was dirty, stains on the carpet and walls.. half eaten Mcdonalds in a bedside draw, dirty half filled glass on side table.. ONE towel for 2 people.. obviously not been cleaned since the last occupant.. Food arrived.. wrong order.. dont eat pork... chicken nuggets arrived.. stone cold.. complained to be told thats how they are served.. he said.. cooked and then blasted with cold air??? might be me but I have never heard of nuggets served ice cold before... decided to use the facilities and have a swim... No changing rooms, people getting changed under towels poolside, and then walking up stairs to their room in just a towel.. not a pretty sight.. Having had enough and after complaining and deciding enough was enough asked for a refund (denied go back to groupon they said) checked out, and was back home for 10pm. Groupon said 'As a gesture
of good will I am happy to add £10 to your account in Groupon credits.
Thanks but .... well... This is still not resolved and ongoing, but the moral of the story is Stay Away from the Daresbury Park Hotel.

We received a gift of a night away to the Daresbury Park Hotel, inclusive of dinner bed and breakfast, with leisure facilities access included.
On arrival at the hotel we were impressed by the amount of parking available. The car park is code accessed which was nicely reassuring for us, having had bikes on our roof rack for the night.

The hotel reception area was bright and clean, with a deli counter for snacks etc. On receiving our room key we were asked if we would like to have a reservation made for us that evening for our included dinner, which was a nice touch.

Although the communal areas of the hotel were bright with fresh decor, our bedroom was more than a little drab. The bedroom decor was very fussy, and the carpets damp and stained in certain areas. There was no facility to control the room temperature, but there were windows which you were able too open.
Although we booked a double room, sadly we had only one set of towels on arriving. When we tried to call reception to have more delivered to our room, we established that our room telephone was not working, so having both had showers we had to share a towel until we could personally call to reception. We explained to them that the phone was not working and were advised that maintenance had now left for the day, therefore the phone could not be repaired that day, but we were offered the option to change rooms. We asked for towels to be delivered to the room while we headed out for a few hours on the bikes.
On returning to the hotel 5hours later we still had no towels, and on visiting reception once again, we were told we would have to collect them from the leisure centre.

The leisure centre was of a decent standard for the size of the hotel, although the cleanliness left room for improvement in the ladies changing area. We used the jacuzzi and steam room, and sadly discovered that the water fountain facility was not functioning so we were unable to get any water while pool side.

On returning to our room, we had no electrics as the circuit had tripped, so another visit to reception to get this rectified, and this was done so within 15minutes.

What we would say to any future visitors is this... Do not bother booking dinner at the Steam Bake & Grill restaurant. The bar and restaurant area is vast and comfortable, but the food was not great. We had a three course meal which was included in the package, and this was a choice from a set menu. We paid a supplement to have a sirloin steak which was so tough even the steak knife couldn't cut through it, it was bone dry with no seasoning what so ever. I opted for the rump of lamb, which was served with minted mashed potato. The mash potato was cold in the centre and the green beans barely cooked, we did not complain, we simply left most of it. When the desserts came however, we'd officially had enough. We ordered sticky toffee pudding with ice cream, when they arrived, the pudding was as cold as the ice cream. We sent it back asking for it to be reheated, and 5minutes later they reappeared exactly the same. Needless to say they were left also.

All round, the staff are very sweet and polite, the hotel is very easily accessed from the motorway, but we wouldn't visit again. The lady that dealt with us on our arrival who's name sadly has escaped us, was phenomenal. She went above and beyond in helping us with a cycle route to help us reach Delamere Forrest.

We were looking for a hotel that offered comfortable surroundings and easy access to Chester Zoo. Before staying at this hotel I did the usual thing and checked trip advisor and was faced with some horrid reviews, cold pool, room dirty, reception staff unwelcoming etc. So imagine my surprise when my boyfriend, two children and myself turned up to find a very clean hotel, pleasant staff (who gave us free afternoon tea), very pleasant, clean, comfortable room and a warm indoor pool (not what we were expecting).
The food was nice nothing to startling but edible.
All in all a very pleasant stay, would recommend to anyone.

Do yourself a favour and please do not, do not stay here!

I stayed here with my partner after seeing Carfest at Oulton Park a few weeks back There is nothing good to say about this place, it is horrendously overpriced and a total dump.

Rooms are outdated, Cleanliness is non-existent, Breakfast was appalling, either cold or really bad quality, all the cutlery and plates and dishes were grimy as well, looked like they hadn't seen any fairy liquid for years: we stuck to the toast as it was the safest option rather than risk getting the runs, Staff were unhelpful and rude.

The worst hotel I've ever stayed in, in my entire life.

I have tried to get a refund, I've tried ringing the hotel, no answer, which is typical, emailed customer services, no answer, even written to their head office, nothing again.

Do yourself a favour and steer clear of this dump??!!

Got a good deal on KGB but hotel in dire need of refurbishment in bedrooms, very tired looking and bathrooms in need of good clean and mould removal. Seal on shower screen was disgusting caked in black mould which could of been cleaned with right products. Hotel was extremely busy so could not book table for evening meal until 9.30pm by which time starters were not replenished properly beef on carvery had run out and desserts were just a sloppy mess after people had taken their portion. Staff were very helpful but run ragged and could not sort the issues. Breakfast the following morning was better but bacon ran out and was told 5 minute wait!! Not want you want to hear so had to start and go back when it was ready. Used spa facilities, steam room out of order, pool okay but after sitting in Jacuzzi noticed a black scum line on water line....disgusting. NO would never go back, had bad experience with Brittania hotels before so will avoid in future.
