I was one of 4 couples to stay in the villa for a weeks holiday- it really is a stunning place to stay. Being up on the hill means gorgeous sunsets and views of the mountains nearby and there are large balconies on each floor to enjoy the views. Panos was very welcoming and had left us a chest of food, he showed us how everything worked including the coffee machine and washing machine. The BBQ and pizza ovens are also fabulous facilities to have the use of too. We enjoyed the walk down to the butchers (this is a fantastic butchers) and supermarkets- these are 20-30 minutes away but there is a petrol station as a halfway point to these and a little bar too to refresh with an ice-cream or a beverage. When you reach the supermarkets there are some great tavernas there too- Elpis being my favourite. The walk is enjoyable and shouldn't put anyone off, unless you are elderly as there is a steep hill. The beach is just past the butchers and the sea is lovely and warm. There are some great places to eat on the seafront too. All in all we had a fabulous holiday and would highly recommend it to anyone!!
Just returned from a week in Plaka staying in beautiful Villa Petramithia. It was perfect in every way for the eight of us staying there. Inside is very spacious, with every amenity you could need, and lots of sun terraces to enjoy the gorgeous mountain views.Outside is the very large pool area, gardens , barbecue and even a pizza oven!
Panos was very welcoming, and explained everything we needed to know. We did not hire a car as we are keen walkers, but I suppose hilly area could be difficult for some. Centre of Plaka with several tavernas and supermarkets is about 20 minute walk and Almiryda beach about 30 minutes.
Thank you very much Panos and Maria - we would love to return one day
