This pub was taken over this year by new owners. The food has been consistently good and the portions very generous.
Large car park.
had mostly lunched here but did have an evening meal one Saturday and we got the last table available all the others were reserved and this was 18:30.

There is a large garden.

In the final of the best Fullers pub in the country and it shows. Great atmosphere, friendly and the staff are always attentive. Food is great and varied with an ever changing specials board. Roaring open fire which I am told will be up and running again this winter. A really lovely place. Pretty sure crazy biker is a disgruntled local so pay no mind to his review!!

The Oak is one of my local pubs, after several landlords that didn't help this pub reach its full potential, the current landlords, Joolz and Steve have made it great once again! The food is really fabulous, whether you want a gorgeous meat dropping off the bone lamb shank, a gourmet venison burger or a 'special' such as the pork and pineapple curry that arrived in half a fresh pineapple! The atmosphere is brilliant with the friendly staff ready to serve as soon as you walk in. The landlords are really great and Steve has been known to get involved in the regular live music (usually a Friday every 3 weekes) singing and strumming on his guitar! The garden is great for families with plenty of space for kids to run round. So if you want a great meal or just a drink in a friendly atmospheric pub, the Oak is the place to go!

We visit regularly for Sunday lunch with our young children following the recent change of owners. The garden is perfect for children to roam and play and the menu is a reassuring combination of pub favourites and a sensible number of specials indicating that food is freshly prepared. It's all reasonably priced with generous portions and never disappoints.Today we had an outstanding venison wellington for 2, beautifully presented and carved on a wooden platter with an excellent selection of oven roasted vegetables, perfectly crisp roast potatoes and mushroom gravy. Cooked to perfection - medium rare as requested, unbelievable value too!

Visited the Oak with my wife and a friend. We were very impressed with the friendliness of the staff and attentive service. The food was excellent and service was very good even though the restaurant was quite busy. Being a Tuesday night I think a busy restaurant speaks for itself. The portions were of a very good size, in fact my wife and her friend had to share a dessert and I personally couldnt manage anything other than a coffee. We sat inside but there is a large garden, which I am led to beleive sometimes has bbq's. we will be back end of August as they are having a three day beer festival!!!. Well recommended
