We have stayed in a few cottages in the west country over the years and this rates as one of the best.
The building itself is a converted grain store. All rooms are on a single, ground floor and consist of a large kitchen/dinner/living room with every appliance we could think of. There was even a cream tea was waiting in the fridge when we arrived. Suffice to say it wasn't waiting long. There is access to a large paved patio through a pair of glass doors, which made for a lovely bright room. During our stay the weather was lovely so these doors where open most evenings giving us a great view across a shallow valley.
The location is excellent. The cottage is minutes from the A39 which gives easy access to the north and south coast. Padstow, Kynance Cove and St. Michaels Mount are all about 45 minutes away. Anyone familiar with cottages in Cornwall will be aware that some can be up some pretty narrow lanes. While the access was a single track road, it's fairly short and only shared with a couple of other properties. Getting in and out is no problem at all.
The nearest neighbour is about 250m away, so the cottage is pleasantly secluded. Your only company are likely to be William and Paddy, the donkey and pony in the next field.
We would definitely stay there again recommend the it without hesitation.More
