You know when you think about food and your back teeth go funny and your mouth waters...thats the sensation you get every time Mannings restaurant is mentioned. The food is excellent, the service second to none, friendly, nothing is too much trouble and no feeling that you are being rushed along. No matter if it is lunch or and evening meal, it never ever fails to please. Five star ++

No lifts, so not suitable for the disabled or infirm but nevertheless a very pleasant hotel. It is an old building, full of character and slap bang in the middle of Truro. Our room (top floor) was well appointed with modern fixtures and fittings. Bar area was small and the complimentary drink is a nice touch. Food in restaurant was excellent.

Room Tip: Because it is in the middle of town the night life (and seagulls) is noisy.

When checking in if you here the phrase" room 34 Sir" make sure you have crampons and an oxygen mask! When you get there the room is fine ,although the internet seemed to come and go,staff were more than helpful in trying to rectify the problem.Bar area was great for early evening drink and staff were happy to recommend local restaurants, although judging by the breakfast next morning their own is pretty good.Parking on site in the centre of town, they let me stay there the following day(although i had checked out) and let me use a meeting room later on to complete some business. All in all a good place to stay whether holidaying or on business in Cornwall.

Room Tip: Avoid room 34 unless your on a sponsored hill climb.Good view of seagulls annoying each other on nei...

Quite a big hotel, but nevertheless it has plenty of character. Beds are excellent, not the usual bricks designed to last for ever. Our shower was beautifully designed and roomy with a rain showerhead. We much appreciated the complimentary drinks in the bar, the high quality audio equipment, the friendly waitresses, and the receptionist who had enough time-and interest-for a chat as we checked out. Centrally located too, with parking.
The restaurant was good, although we were surprised that two items on the specials menu had sold out early on.

Had a super stay at Mannings via their Easter Spring Break offer. Hotel service and accommodation excellent as usual. The Restaurant food is also very good. Well done on such a good offer over the usually overpriced Easter rates at most hotels. This offer also included two tickets to the Eden Project - most enjoyable.
