we, like many others, stayed in an apartment and loved the space. the kitchen was well equipped and the room was bright and airy. we stayed for three nights over the recent bank holiday weekend. However, I couldn't stay here again, due to the creaky floorboards from the room above. Others have written about it and I thought, how bad could it be? well... bad. It' a structural problem and probably not much they can do to fix it except getting some sort of new floor put down, but when the people upstairs got up at 3am, it woke me up. that and the "rhythmic" creaking of the bed upstairs (if you're reading this don't worry, we didn't hear anything else!). after three nights it drove me nuts. probably explains why they didn't ask the usual "and how was your stay?" when I checked out. nice but too noisy for me.

Room Tip: top floor if staying in an apartment

We stayed here for one night when visiting Cornwall to go to our friends daughters wedding. We chose this hotel as it was a good central location and not too far from the wedding venue we have also eaten in the restaurant before and the service and food has been very good. The room was nice and comfortable. As we knew we would be returning late we spoke to reception who told just to ring the bell as the door would be lock, this was no problem the night porter was waiting when we arrived back. A very pleasant stay.

My husband and I have stayed here before, one of them being for our 10th wedding anniversary in 2003. We came back this time for our 21st wedding anniversary and were not disappointed. Room was lovely, but what made it special was the staff, from the house keeping to the management. So friendly and knew their stuff. What was extra special was seeing Kim (management) who checked us in the previous 2 times we visited, and recognised us as soon as we came in. And even though we got there before check in, was so accomodating for 2 travellors who had been on the road for over 7 hours. Like to also mention Neil (restaurant) who made us laugh every time we saw him, and for coming in early on our last morning. My husband and I would like to thank the whole team for such a wonderful stay. Chris and Dawn Nelson

We found staff very helpful. Stayed both in main hotel and self-catering apartment. Apartment 102 was spacious, clean and well equipped. Secure parking right outside. Restaurant served excellent meals by well-informed staff. Can highly recommend especially as a comfortable hotel from which to explore Truro.

This hotel is really well located in the centre of Truro and the room we had was compact but quiet as it was on the back. But it was over the very busy restaurant and the extraction for the kitchen was right outsideour window.
We would go back but we don't want room 19.

I stayed here with my daughter on the eve of her wedding. Our room was quite small, and hot, but very pleasant and well appointed. The staff in all areas of the hotel were extremely helpful and friendly. They were very welcoming and polite to us. The seagulls are a bit of an issue in the area - very noisy in the morning. The hotel has very secure parking facilities, a litlle oasis garden which was nice to sit in, and is located in the centre of Truro, nearby to the Cathedral and shops. It was a very enjoyable stay.

Room Tip: Ask for one where the seagulls cant gather outside the window and screech

Perfect location in the center and nice rooms, wellcome drinks were offered in their nice bar. Gate parking next to the hotel. Truro is ideal for shopping and it is all next door.
Only minor: very unorganised service during breakfast!
