We stayed for a mid-term break with David and Angela in this lovely Victorian house. Every bedroom has its own decorative theme and there's loads of space including a family room that will accommodate about 10 people. Books all over the place including a good range for children, lots of CDs and games to amuse when the weather is bad. As it happens we had really good warm, sunny and dry days so spent most of our time exploring on foot and eating out. This corner of the Island is less obviously touristy than Sandown, Shanklin or Ryde, but the beach at Seaview (about 15 minutes on foot) is great and stretches to Bembridge. Everything just so - nice!
Spacious clean 10 berth house situated in Nettlestone village. A nice 10 min walk from the beach and Seaview. Although the house slept 10 people you couldn't comfortably sit 10 people round either the kitchen or dining table and each of the living rooms only had comfortable seating for 4-6. There were plenty of toys and games in the games room which kept the 3 children and 6 big kids entertained. Plenty of utensils and crockery in the kitchen, however some of it could do with replacing. The village shop was over the road, reasonably priced and well stocked. A tesco extra is only 5 min drive away if you choose to cook at the house. If not there is plenty of choice in nearby seaview and Ryde for food. Reasonable price for the middle of the school holidays.
