“Soft sand, snorkelling and turtles!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 June 2014

Great place to paddleboard, swim, snorkel, or sit on a soft beautiful little beach. Very calm, and at sunset the turtles come for a visit. Fantastic beach. One of the best in Maui that I have visited.

“MY FAVORITE BEACH! BEAUTIFUL!”

Kapalua beach was, by far, my favorite beach we visited! Absolutely beautiful!! I was mesmerized! Great, calm swimming, good for snorkeling. My kids had a blast! So grateful we visited this beach.

“Found my families favorite snorkel spot.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 June 2014 via mobile

We have come to Maui for years. We usually pay to go to Molokini Crater. Money was tighter this year so we sought out a cheeper place to snorkel. We discovered this gem and loved it!
If you go, you can't wear sunscreen, so wear a swim shirt on sunny days. Be ready to walk down a beautiful jungle path and over rocks to get the water. Swim to the right and toward th point, that's where the real beauty lies. Turtles, schools of colorful fish and eels. We also spotted a flying gurnard! Take money to support the local economy. Several industrious and talented locals sell their artwork and food.

“Excellent snorkeling”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 June 2014

Go early for parking. Great snorkeling. Swam with a school of fish which was very unusual. Small beach but very good crowd. The beach is in front of some high end places to stay.

“One of the best beaches!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 June 2014

This beach is a must-visit location. It is pretty easy to find (pay attention to signs on the left) but the parking area is small and fills up quickly. There is other parking available along the side of the street and across the street at the tennis courts. The beach itself is very quaint and beautiful. Snorkeling here is free and rivals many spots you would pay to go see on a boat. The right side of the bay (if you are facing the ocean) has by far the best reefs and sea life. There are some sandy areas where you can get in the water to cool off. There are also plenty rocky areas for those photo ops you cannot find any where else. Must go here!
