“Excellent food, great service!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 January 2014

Stopped in on the way back from Lakeside. The bistro has a welcoming feel along with a lovely atmosphere. The restaurant was exceptionally clean with brilliant service. The food is sourced locally and we both ordered Sunday roast beef and it was excellent. Very well priced. Ample parking which helps! Would highly recommend to someone looking for a casual lunch with brilliant food and great service. Will be revisiting!

“Great Lunch”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 January 2014

At first it appears to be a cafe in a Garden Centre but it is actually a very good table service restaurant serving brunch, lunch and dinners. We have called in twice and enjoyed cream scones with strawberry jam and then on our second visit a sandwich lunch. Staff are friendly and service is prompt and often the place is packed.
On last visit I had local sausages in warm toasted ciabatta with caramalised onions and wholegrain Dijon mustard. Delicious. My wife had chicken breast in granary bread with red slaw which she very much enjoyed.
We intend to call again and try something else on the menu which all looks very tempting.

“Lovely Lunch”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 December 2013

I have been to this restaurant 4 times now for brunch or lunch and have yet to be disappointed with my meals. I took my family there today and they absolutely loved the freshly made Fish&chips and haddock and cheese risotto. The service is fantastic and has a lovely garden shop to look/walk around in.

“Great Brunch!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 December 2013

Having been here a few times now, I would really recommend the Twig and Spoon. I stick with the poached eggs and smoked salmon on crumpets and it is really excellent quality. The other people I've been with have had a variety of dishes including the scrambled egg, the full breakfast and the mushrooms on toast. All dishes have been cooked perfectly and it is really nice to see that they source all of their ingredients locally. Our only gripe would be the additional of milk to the scrambled eggs which detracted from the lovely flavour of the eggs. They also have excellent quality coffee which is always nice. Would thoroughly recommend!
