Be prepared to be delighted. Don't think this is going to be like your typical garden centre canteen type experience because it's not; think Bistro. We first popped in for a coffee & cake (yummy!) on a previous visit to the Garden Centre but we were tempted back by the menu, with many locally sourced products. Today was our third lunch visit and once again it was excellent from starter to dessert. The staff are all friendly & provide a consistently high level of service even when they are really busy. Make sure to book as it is very popular. Added benefit is that you can have a nice browse round the Garden Centre either before or after your meal.

6 of us enjoyed a lovely lunch here today. The menu choice was excellent, service friendly & efficient & the atmosphere relaxed despite being busy. We have eaten here before, afternoon tea is lovely & the home made cakes to die for. We'll be back!

We love the twig and go there regularly, today was once again a pleasure. The food was excellent as always and we had a couple of really nice smoothies. The we go so often the staff are more like friends, today was no exception and we received lovely friendly service. The restaurant is clean and comfortable, with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

We travelled an hour to visit this place and it exceeded expectation. Luckily we had booked as even on a rainy Friday it was chockablock. Four of us had lunch and the food was superb with very generous portions. All meals tried were of good quality and freshly made. Even the tea was lovely (tea pigs). We returned after a good shop in the garden centre for tea and cake and this was also lovely. Customer service by a young man who actually found us on our way out to check we hadn't made a mistake on the tip as my friend had meant to put in total to debit but instead added it as a tip. How very kind of him and it was sorted out immediately. We left planning another trip there! Can't say better than that. Thank you very much.

Took mum up for morning coffee and cake was met by a hostile young man who asked "have you booked" to which I replied we don't want lunch just coffee and cake. He said all tables were booked except for a small table for two in doorway which was very drafty. I got up to shut the door and was asked to leave it open as the staff were hot,,!!!!
We were eventually moved to a small table at the back of the restaurant where it was warmer which was reserved for 1pm and as it was only 11am I couldn't see this as a problem.
Service and staff were very off, cake was quite stale - not a good experience.
Would not go there again.
