“Great attention to detail and outstanding staff attitude”
Reviewed 8 February 2014 via mobile

If you need a really solid business hotel that has reliable fast internet for in room and conference use, this hotel actually has it.

Then add the outstanding staff, not your usual bored, tired, underpaid trying to be nice lot. The staff at the Huntingdon Marriott have undergone a transformation in the last 2 years that makes everyone go wow.

When was the last time you were at a business conference in a hotel and at dinner people were talking about how amazing the staff were!

The attention to detail has gone through the roof, down to the smell of hand wash in the restrooms. Truly it makes you feel happy to be there and someone somewhere has gone to a lot of trouble to make sure you feel known and taken care off. Seriously.

Lastly but no means least. The standard of the food has doubled in the last 2 years. It used to be fancy menu and very ordinary blah quality food. We now have sensible menu with enough choice to last a week without eating the same thing twice. The ingredients are way fresher and properly prepared leading to tasty, high quality dishes served by the amazing staff (who know you by name) of course!

IF YOU NEED A REALLY GOOD BUSINESS HOTEL IN THE AREA THIS IS IT.
THANK YOU TEAM MARRIOTT HUNTINGDON.

Hotel is clean, Modern decor inside with a decent bar and restaurant, pricing is about typical Marriott. Staff are a little slow at check in but are friendly enough.

Location is good, free parking for guests. It is just off A14 but because of dual carriageway and no direct access from the roundabout means you have to drive up to next junction and back if you need to head any direction but south which can be a little annoying.

I haven't got any serious complaints but the it doesn't have a wow factor to earn the 5 mark, but its a dependable hotel chain, perfect for business travellers which deserves the Marriott name over its door.

I have stayed at this hotel quite a few times now, i like this hotel because it has a nice pool and hot tub which my 10 year old daughter loves. The only downside of this hotel is that the air-conditioning does not work, the staff won't admit that but i have stayed in many different rooms in this hotel and regardless of the setting on the dial in any room it pumps out warm air and even during the winter it can get very warm at night. The best way to handle it during the summer is to turn it off and leave the window open, during the winter leave it on during the day and turn it off around 8pm.

Even with the poor aircon this hotel is excellent, great food, friendly helpful staff, a nice pool and hot tub which keeps the kids happy, nice table in the room for working, pay TV is available but the movies are not cheap, wireless is available but it is not cheap and in this day and age it should really be given free, i am a platinum member so i do get it free but if i wasn't a platinum member i would rather use my phone as a modem rather than pay for the wireless as it would be a cheaper option.

Room Tip: My mobile provider is EE and the only coverage i found in this hotel with EE are the rooms whose win...

Thomas Morris Estate Agents recently held their 2013 awards evening at the hotel and from the moment we started organising the evening we experienced excellent service from all the staff , especially from Jasmine & Nadja who were a delight to deal with , nothing was too much trouble . The evening was a huge success with the Marriott team provding a high quality three course meal to about 85 people in a excellent room with high levels of service from all the staff helping us to celebrate 2013 in style . Thanks again.

My Partner and I stayed here mainly on business, but it was nice to have a little leisure time too. The staff here are great, we were greeted by a friendly receptionist and the place itself has a lovely feel to it. Our room was spotless and comfortable and the ice machines on each floor was an added bonus. We went down to the pool and it is a nice size, and a lovely jacuzzi as well, the multicoloured spotlights make it have a lovely atmosphere. We then went to the restaurant, and we were served by Ceris and Kim and they were attentive and accommodating with any requests.
Breakfast was great, very friendly gentleman serving who I didn't catch the name of unfortunately, but also a great service. The trip ended with an easy, smooth check out, and we would recommend this hotel to anyone looking.

I stayed at the Marriot in December with a large party of friends. A splenid hotel with spacious rooms, comfortable beds and a warm friendly atmosphere. The staff couldnt be more helpful and polite and the hotel itself is spotless. We stayed for 3 nights Dinner, Bed, and Breakfast and the food was great. It was self service breakfast with lots of choice of full English, Continental, Fruit and nuts, Cereal, Hot Porridge, Fish, and as much fresh Tea and Coffe as you like. You can always tell its a good hotel when the Sausage is actually edible!

The hotel is situated just a short drive from the town centre and in its own grounds and secure very ample car park with a security code for the exit. (remember to get the code from the reception desk before leaving the hotel) The grounds are pleasant with an outdoor patio area with quality tables and chairs. It also has an allocated covered smoking area which is a bonus if your a smoker. Another nice touch is an ice station on every landing...... great for those that like to have a nightcap before bed. Bar prices were above average but thats to be expected in most hotels.

There were fresh fluffy towels daily (if you leave the used ones in the bath) and I must say that the chambermaids were the most pleasant girls I have encountered in any hotel. I cant recommend any special bedroom because they were all excellent. Well done Marriot Hotels and the Huntingdon staff, I dont have one complaint!

Room Tip: Even numbers faced the (not unpleasant) carpark, odd numbers faced the garden area

Stayed over Christmas with my family. Its a 4 star hotel and you get a 4 star level of service and facilities-hence you get what you pay for! Good clean pool, gym, sauna, spa and steam room. Rooms are great.Friendly staff.Food good but not exceptional. Will probably visit next Christmas if the room rates are about the same but would look elsewhere if more expensive.
