“Wonderful friendly helpful staff!”
Reviewed 9 June 2014

We staying at the Woolly Sheep Inn whilst attending a wedding in the area.
It is a great example of an English Inn. Comfortable, great atmosphere, good location in the centre of the town, but best of all is the friendly, helpful and efficient staff.
Could not fault them!

Absolutely outstanding Sunday lunch and first class service at the Wooly Sheep Skipton. This is the first time we have been despite now being locals to the area and the price was very reasonable. Local produce and first class service was further enhance by the Timothy Taylor's Tour de France special ale. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to anyone, local or visitors to one of the best locations in England.

A great town centre pub with a lovely atmosphere. Good selection of drinks but a guest ale or two would have been appreciated. £7.50 for two ales. We didn't eat here however the food looked and smelt great and we shall be returning for a meal in the near future.

just one night - room was small but well equipped with everything
pub has character and evening meal and breakfast were both excellent
we just felt good about every aspect of the place
the staff were all so attentive and helpful
would stay again

Room Tip: on 2nd floor if you don't mind the stairs - to avoid the noise

Been to the Woolly Sheep on three occasions over the last couple of years and it never fails to please. Accomodation is cosy and clean, food is excellent, both at breakfast and evening and Timothy Taylor's ale. What more can be said?

I ate here in April, with my mum and sister. Both had been before and it was the only option for us to eat at on the day as they would not go anywhere else! The welcome was lovely, service very good - attentive but not intrusive and the food was just amazing. Two of us had specials of salmon and chicken and one had the fish and chips, which was gorgeous! We were on a strict shopping venture so didn't allow time for puds but am there next week so definitely going the whole hog!

We had a really warm welcome with lovely staff. We had a really lovely room & great breakfast. We couldn't spend much time there unfortunately as we were at a wedding locally but the pub looked great, busy & welcoming. Car park was a god send as it's tricky to park in Skipton. Would definitely stay there again if we were ever up that way again.
