I can not recommend this establishment highly enough. The rooms are 5 star and the service equally as good. I had a business dinner so can not comment on the food however breakfast was excellent.

Beautiful room (5). Fully loaded hospitality tray and toiletries exceeding expectations. Very efficient, friendly and courteous staff. Lovely evening meal and breakfast. Fantastic location in the centre of Skipton with free parking. Remember it's a pub with all the benefits that brings like popping downstairs for a quick pint. If you dont like a pub atmosphere then why stay in one? Wish we could have stayed longer.

Great pub in the middle of Skipton. Public areas like most town pubs - a little tired in the daylight. Very good clean rooms, nicely furnished. Good bathroom with complimentary toiletries etc, Tea, coffee and biscuits in room. Great cooked breakfasts. Lovely pub food for lunch and dinner, freshly cooked.
Wouldn't hesitate to return or recommend.

Recently stayed here for 2 nights to attend a wedding. I'd read some bad reviews so was worried but as soon as I saw the room I realised there was nothing to worry about. The quality of the decoration in the room was top notch with no expense spared. The evening meal was delicious and the breakfasts were great, and very flexible with the choices. The staff, although mostly young, were superb; nothing was too much trouble. I left feeling very pleased that I'd made a great choice and I wouldn't hesitate in staying there again!

Booked to stay at woolley sheep for 2 nights with partner. Had heard wonderful things about it. We were not warned how noisy it would be. The bar was supposed to shut at 11pm, but music was still blaring at 12.30am. It was impossible to even hear the TV over the noise. When we spoke to the manager, we were told that the bar would be open till at least 1 the following night and we should have been warned. The home page of the B&B does still say 11pm so be warned. Also the bathroom sink produced brown water. I wonder if we ended up with a bad room?

Stayed for 1 night. Second time we have used the woolly sheep. Great location with good pub grub. Plenty of parking out back. Room decor in need of updating but rooms clean tidy and cosy. Just the place to explore the yorkshire dales. It is a pub so was noisy until 11.30pm during our stay. Probably later at weekends.

Don’t go unless you plan to stay up all night drinking!
during the day it appears to be a nice, quiet real ale pub - friendly locals, nice food and a great little beer garden.
At night it is noisy, lairey and far too hot!
Our room was right above the bar and as it seems to be a binge drinking hotspot in Skipton it was noisy till well after its 1am closing time which meant no sleep till 2am.

The first night was great fun as at around midnight we had to help an older women to bed after she collapsed on the stairs and her drunken friend was shouting and hitting her. The staff seem happy to keep on serving you regardless of how drunk you get.

Our friends stayed in a room on the 2nd floor which although quiet was like an oven!
our advice, go there during the day for a nice lunch but unless your plans are getting hammered then crawling up the stairs to bed to pass out - don’t bother staying there. At £65 a night its really not worth it - try Malham instead!
