We went to have lunch at the Whoolly Sheep, on market day in Skipton.
My overall opinion is that it is poor value for money.
The main problem was that our order for the pulled pork came stone cold, it was returned to the kitchen for a replacement, when that arrived the meat was now covered in whole grain mustard which the first one certainly was not, neither was that mentioned on the menu. The sever was called to return the dish to the kitchen, as the rest of us had finished our meals we asked for a refund for the pork, it was grudginly given with not much of an appologie.
with the excuse was given that "they are busy"
Didnt know you would be busy, on market day, in summer ???

Would i go here again ?
Would i hell !!!
Would i recomend it ?
pls see above.

The Woolly Sheep is a great pub that also has a very good restaurant. I sampled some of the Timothy Taylor's beers before moving into the restaurant for a meal. A very enjoyable visit!

We had a lovely meal here for our 28th wedding anniversary and not only is the food excellent but the staff are as well. The staff in this pub are the best I have every known so nice and friendly especially Drea.M (hope I got her name right she was our waitress on Saturday night 26.07.14). This wonderfully pub has so much history and the staff will answer all your questions in a knowledgeable and interesting way. My husband loves Timmy Taylor so he was over the moon and next time we are in Skipton we are going to book and stay in the pub itself. Well done The Woolly Sheep Inn whoever your boss is they should give you all a pay rise as I don't think I have ever been this impressed ever. Cant wait to come back.

Had a Sunday Roast here with the family. Lovely big Yorkshire puddings, veg not over cooked and roast beef very tender. Kids had sausage and mash and fish and chips, again, both really nice. Service and atmosphere lovely!
