My fiancé and I have been looking forward to visiting this wine bar for a while. It's owned by Napiers hotel and restaurant, who also own a brilliant wine shop selling amazing wines from all over the world.
We visited the wine bar on a Saturday night. First of all for the number of people in there vs floor space there were not enough seats and tables. Secondly it was unbelievably hot, yet windows were not opened. Shame as the decor and setting is lovely.
The biggest disappointment of all though was the wine list. As a wine bar I expect a good choice of wines, rather than the laminated piece of A4 paper with a handful of each on. There were 14 in total and no specials. Given the bar is owned by a specialist wine shop that is excellent and located across the road and who probably supply them, I'm surprised and so disappointed about what could potentially have been a. fab addition to my local town of Skipton.
