“Lovely hospitality and a great breakfast”
Reviewed 19 August 2012

Just got back from a two night stay. Absolutely impressed with the room I had, but more importantly the great welcome from Ken and Jenny. Despite being a born and bred Londoner, I have a soft spot for Yorkshire and it is people like Ken and Jenny that make it. I was up to do the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge with some colleagues, but was happy I made a decision not to stay in the 'bunk house' they did. The extra half hour drive at the beginning and end of a tough day of hiking was worth it!

Ken and Jenny have a well run, clean and welcoming establishment. The rooms we had were of a generous size and were well equipped.

Booking was easy despite of having a slightly unusual request which Ken readily accommodated.

Book direct as they aren't on any of the standard booking sites.

A good location just on the edge of town but still just a brief walk to the centre, railway station or bus station.

Break is from 8:30 - 9:00 so quite a narrow window, having the option of a little bit earlier would be nice (but as we didn't ask, I can not say whether or not a special request would have been met - my guess is that it would have been)

If more places where like the Skipton Park Guest O'tel Tripadvisor would be out of business!

They take payment by card as well as cash (excluding Amex)

Room Tip: They have a ground floor room if stair mobility is an issue - this has a generous sized shower.

We have now had about twenty stays here in the past three years and now feel more like good friends than guests. We are made most welcome upon arrival and are well looked after during our stays. The bedrooms are very clean and well furnished in very good taste and the breakfasts are excellent. Ken and Jenny are very good hosts and nothing seems too much trouble for them and their standards are consistently excellent.

We arrived late due to traffic hold ups but were given a very warm welcome from Jenny. We had a tour of the rooms - a great help when you are tired and not quite sure how the lights or shower works!
The rooms were spotless and had everything you needed.
The food great just what you need to start the day.
nothing was too much for Jenny and Ken they are fantastic hosts and run a fantastic place.
would recommend to anyone and look forward to going back.

Jenny and Ken were very welcoming and frendly from start to finish, were attentive hosts and tended to our every need. Breakfasts were amazing, room comfortable and spotless. I would definately recommend; their local knowledge allowed us to explore Yorkshire to the full.
