I went to Skipton in the gloroius weather last week and found this cafe to find it has Air conditioning to keep you cool in the fabulous hot weather where having this was a great find. The food quality was excellent as was the service, great atmosphere and reasonable prices. It was mine & wifes s first trip to Skipton, so we asked a few people around for tips on where to eat, and Dales Cottage Cafe was one of them. We were only there for a week and ended up eating here three times, along with customers who had been there the first day we went! They seem to have a lot of repeat business which is always a good sign...

The service is fantastic, we felt really welcomed. The food is all beautifully presented and tastes amazing, they do lots of dishes here, there is a good selection of food available as well.

We visited on an afternoon visit to Skipton, and this was one of the first places we spotted. It looked very inviting, and we didn't regret accepting the invitation. Decorated in traditional English style it looks more like a pub than a cafe. Food is ordered from the counter and served to the table. The menu is fairly standard, roasts, pies, chilli and lasagne and a couple of vegetarian options.

I had a roast dinner, my wife a vegetable lasagne. Food was served promptly with a smile and was good quality, tasty, hot and plenty of it. This came to just over £15 with drinks.

The cafe is spotless, including the toilets. Clientele was mostly middle-aged to elderly, and they all seemed happy. Would definitely recommend Dales Cottage.

We were on a coach day trip and stopped in Skipton for a few hours around lunchtime. The cafe had plenty of blackboards outside with meals listed, so we thought why not give it a try. We were able to choose a table, view the menu and order our food (at the counter on the way in) without anyone rushing us to order.
Our food was served promptly, the portions were very generous, the food was tasty and very good value for money. Good hearty food at a very reasonable prices.
The cafe was clean, staff were helpful, friendly and very efficient.
Plenty of choice on the menu including a few specials on the board.
My mother had a pie, veg and gravy, which came with extra gravy too - which I must say was very tasty. There were plenty of other tables having the roast dinner, which did look very appertising and plenty of it.

I've been to this cafe on many occasions and can't believe I've not reviewed it on here before.

As in the many previous visits the food was excellent; hearty, home made and plentyful.
The service is good too, relaxed, friendly and quick.

There is plenty of choice to suit all and at a vreasonable price.

Enjoy!
