Visited this lovely cafe over the Xmas 2-week holiday. Found it just after parking up to stroll around the town and visit the castle. So glad we did. The food was not only well-portioned, but very tasty and arrived very quickly. An excellent varied menu, at good prices. Very nice and homely atmosphere. Serves beer as well - bonus! Quite busy, but that did not slow down the excellent and very polite service.

Having never eaten here before we decided to try it for lunch. It is a cosy place and has a very good menu. We both choose a salad for lunch (knowing we had a big meal booked for the evening). The portion size was very good and the food tasty. I saw a number of meals being delivered to adjacent tables, any of them I would have been very happy to order. The staff were very efficient and friendly. This is another eating place on our list of places to revisit.

Me and the Wife visited the cafe again on Saturday. Although busy, the service was excellent. None of the other diners were waiting long for their lunch, and all were making comments of how good the food was when it came.
I had Lamb lunch and delicious home made rice pudding with a blob of jam. The missus had a Haddock which she said was wonderful, crisp and not greasy. 10/10 for taste, service and the place as a whole. Coming back Skipton for a hoilday break in April, and think this will be the first port of call for our meals.

Very disappointed in the café - it looks nice from outside, however food poor quality, overcooked unbelievably greasy.
One member of staff needs to be retrained she was incredibly rude to another couple who walked out and I don't blame them. I would have asked for the manager and complained in person as she will never improve if not challenged.
Will never go back
