We called in here for a drink whilst stopping off in Skipton on our boat. We chose it purely for its funny name! The atmosphere was so good - and the beer - that we returned for a meal when in town again.
As others have said this place is not cheap by pub standards but it is superior. We loved our meals ranging from an omlette to fish. There is not a huge choice for veggies but it's good. There are blackboard specials and most of the food is local. The service was excellent, lovely friendly waitresses.
The pub has been left in traditional style which really enhances the atmosphere although the bar area also being a walkway could be arranged better as it's a struggle at busy times.
Good range of real ale and a couple of cosy corners make it easy to while away an afternoon. I also had a lovely hot chocolate!
Definitely a must when in town.
